Who comes out on top in a 15 rounder? Both were similar in size (George may have a slight height, reach and weight advantage), and both have granite chins and dynamite power. Jeffries definitely has the advantage in the stamina department, but would it even come to play against Big George? Would Foreman demolish Jeffries in 2, or can the Boilermaker survive the early onslaugth, let George gas himself out, and finish him later in the fight?

Jeffries would have fit nicely between Charlie Polite and Boone Kirkman in Toronto.

Foreman destroys him. The difference in skill, and rules are so much it’s almost a different sport. Basically someone who was not that far removed from bare knuckle against an Olympic calibre fighter.

    Foreman (slugger) vs Jeffries (slugger)

    Power: Foreman
    Chin: Foreman
    Hand speed: Foreman
    Stamina: Jeffries
    Footwork: Foreman
    Accuracy: Foreman
    Ring IQ: Foreman
    Defense: Foreman
    Technique: Foreman
    Combinations: Foreman
    Versatility: Foreman

When 2 sluggers meet ring center and exchange blows, the guy with superior power, technique, and accuracy wins. Even if you're feeling generous and give Jeff the edge in the chin department, he lacks the tools to really make it count and turn the fight in his favor. Probably resembles the Foreman vs Chuvalo fight.

Conclusion: 1st round would be entertaining with back and forth clubbing shots, but from round 2 onwards Foreman would be in complete control. For once he'd be the faster, smarter, and more technically sound guy in the ring against a fellow ATG. Even his defense is superior. Jeff becomes a punching bag and is stopped within 4-5 rounds tops.

George hurts him early and never let's up.
I see him clubbing Jeffries to the floor several times, before game over.
    Foreman wko 5.

This fight depends on if Jeffries had the chin to handle Foreman's power until he gasses out. Since Jeffries was supposedly rocked by Fitzsimmons and Corbett in his prime, I can't say I have much confidence that he could handle Foreman's power.

Jeffries MO was to absorb punishment for a number of rounds before stepping it up but of course I don’t think there’s anyone who could absorb Foreman’s flush power for too long.

I agree with @Glass City Cobra that this might resemble George’s fight vs Chuvalo more than anything else - in both complexion and size difference.

Jeff was probably a true 6’1” at best but stocky and well muscled.

In fact, I don’t think Jeff necessarily proved himself to have the type of chin that Chuvalo carried - those types of whiskers are extraordinary and can’t be assumed without material proofs.

Imo, the blows of Corbett, Fitz, Sharkey, Choy simply don’t compare at all to the power Foreman would bring to the table.

If it came down to stamina Jeff would have a shot I guess but I’m 100% confident that Foreman’s possible wilting in the later rounds will not come into play - a moot point.

Why do we refer to it as "clubbing" when it's Foreman punching someone but it's not "clubbing' when Holyfield is punching someone?

Making it a fight to the finish is the only way Jeff even has a slight chance

Jeffries was physically in size identical to George Chuvalo....Foreman beats him into the ground in 1 or 2 rds....GF isn't the middleweight/Ltheavyweights he was used too fighting or the clumsy uncoordinated unevolved heavies of Jeff's era

Jeffries was measured in a Doctor's surgery at an even six feet,Foreman at 78' 1.2" has 2 inches on him in reach.
George stops him inside 6 rounds.
