Mahmoud Charr and Kubrat Pulev have reportedly signed a deal to fight
for Charr's WBA "regular" world title in Bulgaria in March.

The sooner they finally scrap the regular title, the better. The Manual Charr situation is one of the most farcical in heavyweight history.

Hilarious. Ancient Pulev jabs his head off in slow mo.

Wlad beat like 3 WBA regular titlists and they made a new one immediately after.

Lol what a fight. Pulev will win easily though.

But then he'll get ordered to defend against Dubois or Bakole and get splattered.

Probably the worst match-up in heavyweight history. Neither of these fighters is even deserving of a top 20 ranking.

    “WBA regular champion” Manuel Charr

    - Charr is 39, was shot in the abdomen four times 11 days after being one-punch KO'd by Briedis in 2015, had a double-hip replacement in 2017 and last fought in December 2022

    - Prior to losing to Briedis, Charr lost to Duhaupas, Povetkin and Vitali

    - 21-0 Charr was selected as a knockover job opponent for Vitali's farewell fight in 2012

    - Charr's best career wins are competitive decisions over Kevin in 2014, Leapai in 2015 and 40+ Ustinov in 2017 (followed by 3.5 years of inactivity)

    - Charr was a 67-33 underdog in a proposed fight with a 2+ year inactive Trevor Bryan in 2021: one of many fights that have fallen through for Charr over the years, including Haye, Oquendo (due to Charr failing a PED test) and Browne, with Charr embroiled in several protracted legal battles

Seems like he’s older, been around not fighting in the background forever.

Charr is like a knockoff John Ruiz and that's really something.

With most of the belts about to fall away after fight one, the winner of Fury-Usyk II will likely only have one mandatory ... the winner of Charr-Pulev.

Will it even happen, he's had so many fights talked about never materialise. Why is he even still fighting, he so rarely fights and when he does it's against nobodies in front on non existent audiences. No heavyweight anywhere near the top would even consider facing him.
