He very recently appeared on a UK reality TV show to give Ricky Hatton a good luck message as he was on the show and Fury didn't look in "best shape of his career" at all. Better shape than when he fought Ngannou, yes for sure from what little I could see but he looked soft.

Fury is trimming down for Usyk. Mid 260's.

He can bulk into the 70's if he wants to add muscle mass but no point. Got to have some finesse to catch a rabbit in the early rounds.

A fighter who is able to knock out a dangerous opponent with one only jab can outbox without any trouble an opponent whose last best shot was an uppercut that KOed a washed up fighter (Whyte) KOed by an uppercut landed by an old man (Povetkin).

    Usyk by decision. Defo.

PS: Usyk > Parker > Fury

    Fact of the day

The only title Fury has not held in HW boxing is the British Central Area Title.

I hope he is, so he won’t have any excuses as far as conditioning, when Usyk embarrasses him

    Usyk for the win !!

It's amazing people think he's taking this fight lightly and won't train at least harder than recent times.

When I think of Fury in terms of shape, I think of Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing, Vitruvian Man.

I’m not talking the shape of the guy in the middle - I’m thinking the circle drawn around him.

It's impossible given Fury's mileage (damage to his body both inside and outside the ring) that he's going to be in as good physical condition as he was in 2014/2015 or 2020. I also question his focus post-Wilder 2. The success got to his head, silk pyjamas syndrome.

I expect him to be significantly better than he was last time though, that may be sufficient given Usyk's own mileage if Fury comes in fully focused mentally.

He must have read all the comments here slagging him to fk if true. I agree he can't get into the condition of 2015 again, was nowhere near it against the ufc boy and a couple months of actual discipline isn't going to bring it back although no doubt he will be better vs Usyk. He knows he has to be or he'll be knocked out, simple as.

I see Bakhodir Jalolov is on the Fury undercard as well as Jai Opetaia & Aussie Dave Nyika. If all of those guys are sparring with Fury, he'll come in well prepared.

Fury doesn't mind being fat. That has been obvious since about 2014 where he's been chronically flabby or outright obese in nearly every fight.

What he hates is being embarrassed. Fury fights to the level of his opponent and he tends to do better when he is under pressure and people are doubting him. He's a horrible champion but a good challenger. I think given all that's at stake, and given how poorly he did against Francis with people (rightfully) roasting him, he'll be in shape for Usyk. Not beauty contest shape obviously, but by chunky super heavyweight standards he'll have a good gas tank and firing on all cylinders. Probably around 255-260 or so for stamina and speed. Plodding around at 270+ and attempting to simply maul Usyk probably won't end well. Anything less than a 100% focused and in shape Fury probably loses to Usyk and he knows it.

Usyk isn't dangerous because of any obvious factors such punching power, speed, or durability, it's the fact Usyk is a well rounded, fierce, and skilled fighter who does not play games. He has vast experience combined with good technique. You simply cannot beat a guy like that with a half assed training camp.
