Belt that has "Undisputed" written on it, doesnt make you undisputed without IBF belt.

Do you think undisputed belt can curb all other belts? Just because it says undisputed

So to dodge IBF mandatory, they tought of a new belt to sell undisputed fight between Joshua and winner of Fury-Usyk. Joshua will therefore fight for undisputed title, which I belive he wil win, become undisputed champion, withouth having IBF belt but to prove he is undisputed he will have belt which says "undisputed".

Has it been confirmed this is going to be a transferable title? I figured this was just a ceremonial/symbolic thing, kinda like the belt Fury got for beating Whyte. Not something to symbolize any sort of standing in an organization, just an extra trinket for the winner to take home.

I assume we are talking about the Saudi Undisputed belt, yeah? It just reminded me of when they bring in a new belt in WWE, and it's silly there even! If the Saudi's are moving this quickly with immense card making and unifying rival brands, the 'original' multi-belt era won't last for long, in the heavyweight sphere. And just maybe that's a good thing. One belt, one champion. Like the good ol' days. I'm playing devil's obviously. Also, the way everyone had to look up to His Majesty at that press conference was weird and embarrassing

Does it have to be confirmed or are we pretending to be blind? You cant make eather Fury-Usyk rematch or Fury-Joshua undisputed without having all the belts, so we make up a new belt, which litterally has "undisputed" written on it, which will also cary lineal weight and other belts become meaningless and you can sell fight for undisputed withouth having all belts.

What becomes in the scenario if one person has undisputed belt, but there are 4 more different champions with their belts. This is Lord of the Rings all over again, one belt to rule them all.

I get what you're saying, but if it's a ceremonial title just for the occasion then anybody who potentially beats the winner of Usyk-Fury won't get that too. They'll just get the organization belts that are on the line, and of course lineal recognition.

To your second point, in a scenario where the title is more than a symbolic thing, I imagine that the "Undisputed" belt would only initially be on the line for fights with all belts on the line, like Usyk-Fury will be. If that's the case, I guess it won't be any different than something like what happened with Taylor-Lopez. Taylor was at one point undisputed but gradually lost all but one of his belts and recognition from The Ring. Nobody really calls Lopez undisputed, but he is recognized as the lineal champion due to beating the man who was lineal and undisputed. So, prolly same thing here if this title is indeed one that can be lost.

The idea is dumb for sure, linear would be a more accurate name for the belt as even though the winner of that belt would unquestionably be the number 1 in the division he would not have all the real belts.

But quite frankly in this era of so many dumb belts who cares. Belts no longer have the value they once did, I honesty don't care how many belts you have, it's who you beat that matters more. So while technically the winner wouldn't be undisputed in my eyes, that label has been devalued a lot. I mean Josh Taylor was undisputed too, but nobody now would see him as one of the great fighters at 140lbs.

If you are saying it is a dumb belt, sure. It is also dumb to say "world title." There is only one world, so there can't be four "world titles."

If you are saying that the winner of Fury-Usyk won't be undisputed...well who would be disputing it? Even if they strip the IBF title, no one will have claim until they can find Hrgovic and appropriate crash-test dummy to knock over. So yes, for a moment in time, there will be an undisputed champ.

I'm confused now. Is the IBF on the line as well as the other recognized orgs? If so then this is for the undisputed unified championship. Doesn't matter how long till belts start getting stripped. It happens so rarely these days I don't see anything wrong with a ceremonial belt. It wouldn't be the first time.
More belts, more sanctioning fees. Eventually the winner of undisputed titles will wind up owing money.
Seriously, if the IBF isn't on the line then this isn't an undisputed unified title. Watch the boxing media be complicit in the lie once again.

its only a belt if it carries into all divisions and holds ranking, plus other fighters, networks and promotions recognise it, and abandon the other belts. theyd likely need to hold tournaments from strawweight to cruiserweight, which fails at the first hurdle because the two best beltholders at 105 are brothers. its just a play for publicity and will be quickly forgotten. but the wba can pretend to have 2 world champs at the same time so who knows. no rules in boxing.

So lets say, Fury-Usyk happens, lets say Fury wins and now plans to fight AJ for undisputed, with rematch. In meantime, IBF is vacated, Hrgovic lets say beats Sanchez for IBF belt, and goes for his nex defence against winner of Zhang/Parker or Anderson.

Will Hrgovic or Sanchez for matter of opinion, be considered a real champion? Both Fury and AJ wont go near that belt for 2 years because rematches. Do you really think media wont say AJ/Fury isnt undisputed because they dont hold IBF belt? And holder of IBF wont be called fake champ holding a paper belt?, yea right.

How long will it be before it gets put into circulation in a singular fashion? The same as any other world recognised title does?

Lennox continued being billed and announced as the undisputed world heavyweight champion for at least several fights after he had already been stripped by the WBA.

I imagine it would be the same kind of thing here, even if technically incorrect because of the shady behavior of the IBF like the WBA before them.

I personally still think the WBO can be curved.............but not the IBF, WBA, WBC belts, I think those are the 3 needed.

But a belt that has "undisputed" written on it? No comment....................
