Take the rose tinted goggles off.

"A prime Gvozdyk".... whoopdeedoo , is that meant to be majorly impressive is it ? Good fighter yes but whilst your spunking over resumes... who did he ever beat ? An over the hill Adonis Stevenson who was coming off the draw with Badou Jack ? Wow.

Your boy was buzzed, cut up and given all he could handle by Yarde before impressively pushing for the stoppage... but the performance left many thinking he was on the slide going into the Smith fight. Wise up and take it on the chin.

Guess we must agree to disagree then lol Joe's resume was hampered by him refusing to leave British shores to fight & the fact Calzaghe/DariusM never happened.

The original Ring Mag founded by Nat Fleischer was indeed the Bible of Boxing but when Oscar took it over & got rid of all the good writers it lost its legitimacy & became a Golden Boy mag

What's so great about that win? As talented as Gvozdyk was what had he really achieved other than retiring a 40 year old Stevenson who was coming off a gift decision against Badou Jack.. i mean which one of Calzaghes top wins randomly retires for 4 years during their prime after he beat them? That's not a great fighter... Great fighters don't do that.. they regroup.. they don't retire & spend their days love bombing Canelo LMAO.. Go down his resume, he hadn't fought ONE notable opponent other than a 40 year old Stevenson.. Kessler went on to beat Froch, Hopkins went on to beat Pavlik & Pascal & Eubank smashed Carl Thompson up.. Whats Gvozdyk done other belt one out to Canelo HLs? & as for hiding out in Wales & getting dropped? He fought in Denmark, Germany, US.. that US fighters wouldn't touch him for years is as much on them as him.. getting dropped? Ye so what.. multiple people dropped him.. the two you alluded to.. he was 37 himself, long career behind him.. doesn't mean much.. was a seniors match almost those fights.. Beterbiev is a great fighter too.. but let's be real other than Gvozdyk his resume ain't up to much ... Browne couldn't beat an ancient Pascal , Cloud got schooled by bhop, Smith got whooped by Ryder & the likes of Callum Johnson haven't got a single notable win.. have a nice day.

Yarde is a frontrunner who starts out strong and then gasses. His best rounds are the first 6. Beterbiev's best rounds are the last 6 when he's broken his opponent down and picks up the pace. Yarde didn't even make it to the final, most devastating third of the fight.

My post was a response to someone who said Beterbiev went "life and death" with Yarde. You had it 4-3 Beterbiev. I don't give a **** about the scorecards, much less cards involving a british fighter with some hype. Yarde landed 2-3 eye catching shots and hung in there as long as he could, but he couldn't make it to the final third of the fight - the most difficult part for any opponent of Beterbiev's to get through.

This fight was not life and death, and someone has mentioned it simply to discredit Artur in the pathetic hope of propping up "Super" Joe. The ultimate of this thread remains simple: Calslappy gets ran through. Him barely beating a 45 year old and getting knocked down in the process means he gets absolutely annihilated.

You realize the irony of this post when Calslappy fans tout ****ing JEFF LACY who not only never had, but went on to do **** all, as some great win.

    I agree with this part.

There was no "life and death" situation for Beterbiev in the Yarde fight, nor any other Beterbiev fight,

Like I said, in common with a lot of Beterbiev fights, it was competitive while it lasted.
And like all of the other Beterbiev fights, those that were competitive and those that were not, at some point, Artur lowers the boom and it's all over.

Don't agree with this part at all.

Calzaghe took Bernard's game away and beat him 8-4 or 9-3, according to two of the three American ju=dges who could actually see.
    ( Don't even mention Adelaide Byrd's score ). I scored it 10-2.

And he gave never-before-cut Roy a comprehensive beating that left his face looking like a used panty-liner.

I would slightly favour Beterbiev, whois a large LHW over Calzaghe, who was a small LHW (really a SMW), but I wouldn't bet a whole lot on it and an upset wouldn't shock me.

Calzaghe has NOTHING to keep him off unfortunately. That just doesnt work with a guy who can be as agressive as Artur.

Beterbiev wears him down and stops him in the late rounds.
