I've always rated his skills but the one question mark over him was his mentality and if he can't handle the pressure of being a pro and the obstacles that can often throw in your way then he should stay retired.

But let's be honest this is either him throwing a hissy fit or just an attempt to draw attention his way. With Teo retiring and returning and now maybe Shakur doing the same I hope this isn't a start of a trend of boxers doing this to garner attention and create discussion around them.

There's no way he stays retired, even if he intends too. He'll miss the spotlight, the cash, he'll stagnate having no direction after a while. Cooler heads will prevail.

I’ve been vocal about saying Shakur Stevenson was overrated and a B+ level fighter. He’s not explosive or powerful, and he’s doesn’t have the mental fortitude to go through adversity and persevere. Raymond Muratalla, Frank Martin, Andy Cruz, Jemaine Ortiz, Lomachenko etc… are all better fighters than Shakur Stevenson.
