People really need to give Fury a break. He's been training with the Norse gods for the Usyk fight including Thor. Of course he's not likely to just walk away from training injury free.
Just strip him of his title and be done with it. If he wants it make him earn it back in the ring. Hopefully he will head off into retirement. This clown is an embarrassment to the sport.
Saw the cut, it's a sizable one. That being said, go ahead and strip Fury or make him champion emeritus or whatever the WBC does...........Usyk should be fighting the next highest ranked guy. Fury can get a shot after he heals..................
Well, that's incredibly disappointing. About all I can say. Count me as one of people who have sworn not to get excited until the fighters touch gloves now. And even then, can't rule put a no contest sullying that too
It's going to take 6-8 weeks for that cut to heal, another 8-10 week training camp the earliest we're going to be able to see this fight(if it ever happens) will be in June. And by that time wtf knows, Usyk will most likely have to face Hrgovic who's a dangerous opponent anything can happen in Heavyweight boxing especially. This fight is cursed.
I never got myself hyped up for this fight because I suspected Fury would pull something, so not shocked in the slightest. I hope they find a good replacement for Usyk though, and I am still dying to see Opetaia vs Briedis II.
