I know he was sent down for the assault in a pub and got about 10 months. Was there a second more serious charge pending? Has that been to court yet - or is he out now having served his time for the assault?
I quite like his books. But the Great Gatsby is a little overrated. I'm impressed he can box a little as well.
That IFL video a few years ago in the matchroom quarantine hotel where he was way more subdued than normal to the point where he was almost quite docile (must have been some strong medication) was a really sad sight.
Could of done big things in the sport imo. Unfortunately he's not the first fighter to go down this path and won't be the last. In fact there's a lot it happens to. Hope he's in a better place now.
Really enjoyed watching him fight... bags of talent and he could crack as well. Shame to see so much talent not get fulfilled and go to waste.
No chance, boxing was the only thing keeping his life remotely on track, without that and all the regrets that will follow, I think he'll continue on a downward spiral.
Tbh whenever I see a thread about Scott Fitzgerald I can only assume the worse; The man needs to forget about boxing completely, get himself away from bad influences and learn how to live a normal, functional life.
