Is Fury afraid that Joshua will convincingly knock out Ngannou while he failed to do so?

The Fury - Wlad fight was perhaps the fourth or fifth worst championship in the history of the heavyweight division, maybe all of boxing.

If I was judging it, I would have rendered a verdict of nobody won.

If you really had to score it, then I'd give Fury two or three rounds and Wlad one or two rounds, so yes, Fury deserved the win.

But he was fighting Wlad on Wlad's off night, a couple of days
after the man's girlfriend lost their baby and his mind wasn't on the fight.

The Wlad that AJ stopped was much more motivated and aggressive, To me that was a
better fight, and a better win.

    Whyte ?

AJ beat a prime, undefeated 27 year old Whyte.

Fury beat a well past it, twice KO'd Whyte.

Cleary AJ's was the better win.

Now stop talking bollocks, ice !

AJ went life and death with Whyte & Wlad. Fury played with them like they were little children as he will do with Usyk. Fury is a different league. AJ has more power and makes use of it but that one advantage doesn't overcome every other advantage Fury has,

I am sure Fury’s ego is a little bit invested in it.

At the same time Fury is smart enough to realize that if Joshua knocks out Ngannou it creates a great storyline to sell the Fury bs Joshua fight and it will make Fury a lot of money.

That’s even if Fury would lose to Usyk.

Fury lost me after his second duck of Usyk.

He's still my favourite HW to listen to, but he appears to need a toilet when Usyk's name gets mentioned..

AJ KO both of them, while Fury needs to grab hold. Whyte won at best 1 round against AJ. AJ took Whyte soul and chin that night. AJ beat undefeated, young, durable and hungry Whyte, Fury beat a guy who was just KO by a pensioner at that time Povetkin.
    Nice try, go agian.
Get yourself a lot of dry towers for all the tears on March 8th.

Fury is one of few fighters with a rather normal Iq, so he doesn't care, he is looking for one or maybe two cash out fights and who can blame him? Fury is a very underestimated, shroud businessman.

I don't think so. Joshua knocked out Klitschko. Fury can always say that Joshua faced a worn down Klitschko or Ngannou I suppose.

Anyway I don't think anyone doubts Anthony Joshua is a harder puncher punch for punch then Tyson Fury.

To be honest and I know a lot of people will hate to hear this but a very similar argument can be made against Lennox Lewis. When did Lewis fight Holyfield and Tyson? Yes Lennox Lewis was a great talent but he also fought people who were usually on the downside. Other than past prime guys, he really didn't beat any all time greats.

If Mike Tyson was in his prime in 1988 and was champion in '86 and such, Lenox Lewis didn't fight him until the early 2000s. I'm not saying all of this stuff is Lennox's fault either and of course you have to fight the guys available and so on but a very similar argument can be made.

This fight has grown on me. I'll be honest.

NGannou should have beaten Fury so saying he's an unvictorious MMA which is how I saw it no longer sits well with me.

I was of the belief that Fury is shot and that's why Francis did so well, but if that is part of the reason, it can't be the whole reason. Francis deserves a big fight after being robbed and I actually think he might surprise us and knock AJ out.

    Not.
AJ knocked out Wallin in his last fight, and Fury was cut by Wallin.
I didn't realize it meant "something more".

Yeah it's pretty sad when you're the main of two events in a row where you're getting upstaged by the co-main event. AJ is getting smashed because he's always used to being the stronger man in the ring or having the reach to run away. Ngannou takes both options off the table.

I'm not positive that Ngannu can be KOd.

    Joshua on the other hand.....

Only people who likes the idea that prime AJ is better than prime Fury will come to this conclusion. Most people know a powerhouse of a robot will always be a powerhouse of a robot..
