Who will you be rooting for: Joseph Parker or Zhilei Zhang?

Who will you be rooting for on March 8th: Joseph Parker or Zhilei Zhang?

I like both fighters, but I'm kind of hoping Parker wins, since he's younger and it would be better for the heavyweight division. But I won't be disappointed if Zhang wins.

It's an intriguing matchup, I'm not sure who is going to win.

In all seriousness, huge fan of both fighters may the best man win.

 

I am just hopping for an entertaining fight and may the best man win with no controversy.

 

Both these guys are cool.

Both these guys got rid of an overhyped fighter in decisive fashion.

I'm just hoping for a great fight and that they show us what they have.

But seriously, I like both guys. Parker has been disappointing and I was over the moon for him when he beat Wilder. But I do hope Zhang gets a shot at Fury and Usyk before he hangs them up.

 

I like sleepy Joe, but I hope he will go sleep in 8th of March.

I like Zhang even more, he deserves big break through.... He deserves big pay day against Joshua... And he is from China, I like China..... He is very humble man, no BS. Zhang is Real deal.

 

I like both. I'm Chinese so it's good to see a Chinese heavyweight have some success and Zhang having fought Hrgovic, Joyce x2 and Parker back to back clearly isn't afraid to seek out tough fights and you have to admire that.

I've always liked Parker too. Seems like a genuine nice guy, which is why he probably stayed with Kevin Barry for so long even though everyone thought Barry had taken him as far as he could and he's also another fighter who hasn't been afraid of taking tough fights. Unlike Wilder, when he talked about fighting Joshua he actually did it rather than just using Joshua to build his profile, he also fought Whyte, Chisora, Joyce, Wilder and now Zhang, so he has one of the better resumes of this era. How can you not like a guy who is willing to face anyone.

But I'll be rooting for Parker. I've been a fan of his for longer, but whoever wins, I'll be happy for the winner.

 

I just want to see a great fight as do most on here. I have no dog in this fight and just want to see the winner get a massive payday/title shot after, they will deserve it.

 

Neither of them. I'm just hoping for a good fight. They're both fighters I like and whoever wins won't be bad for the division. Maybe gun to my head I'll say Parker as he's younger and so in theory he has longer in the sport, but I won't shed a tear if Zhang wins. I like these Indian summer type fighters who toil about in obscurity for years and suddenly come out of their shell near the end of their career and show all the young dogs what's what. I also want to see Joshua and Zhang have a rematch and that would be easier to sell if both men win their next fights. I'm not that interested in a Parker rematch with Joshua.

 

Big Bang Zhang. He is probably my current favorite fighter. I like how he went on the road to London twice and exposed the hype job Joyce. He arguably beat Hrgović. He’s old he has ‘loose’ muscle and a little flab but the guy can fight and is exciting delivering savage KO’s. Seems like a likable guy as well.

 

Agree. Winner of this fight deserves a title shot.

 

Genuinely have no dog in the fight; as long as it's a good, clean fight with no controversy let the best man win.

 

I’ve been a Zhang fan before it was cool to be one

I picked him to beat Hrgovic, in my eyes he did

Over the moon that he’s now interim champ and in title contention, when for the longest time it looked like he would be ducked by the division’s elite

I like Joe Parker a lot, seems a nice genuine guy. But I can’t and won’t root against Zhang.

I’m picking Zhang by KO and rooting for him to do the business.
