Lewis was stopped twice in his career by right hands. Johannson had a nuke of a right hand. Could he bombs away Lennox Lewis?

The quivering leg thing would happen all over again for Ingemar in this one...

A lucky punch is Ingo’s only chance. But that isn’t a reason to favor someone. That can happen to literally anybody in any fight

Someone picked Johansson by decision. Id love to know how much they’d bet on it. They’d get fat odds that’s for sure.

Scarlett Johansson has a better shot at winning this. KO2.

Agreed completely. I’m trying to picture it. Only thing I can come up with is if Lewis reaches down as Johansson’s right is coming across, a little similar to McCall. Johansson does have the shot power.

Really though, it is Lewis’ fight to lose.

Honestly I would give Ross Purity a better chance of upsetting Lewis than Ingo. Purity could hit pretty hard AND had the chin to take Lewis punches in the interim.

Lewis would have a significant reach advantage...84 in. to 70 in., and would keep Ingemar out on the end of that jab. I can see this one unfolding the way Lewis-Golota did, with Lewis getting a quick KO.

Johansson would make for some fun fights...Dempsey, for example, would be an absolute shoot out...but Lewis is just a terrible match-up for him.

Johansson against the likes of Cleve Williams, Ron Lyle, Gerry Cooney, Earnie Shavers, Kenny Norton…these could be interesting. Lewis is too much.

Though I suppose if an absolute bottom feeder like Rahman can get lucky…

Ingo’s best weapon is the same one that’s knocked Lewis out twice, so I’d say Ingo’s chances of an upset are much better than most of his contemporaries.

    That said, Lewis. Brutally.

Well I can think of at least two of them who would have better odds against Lewis - Liston & Williams.

If you even dream about Lewis losing you should wake up and apologise!

Sure, I like @Ney too, but due to my Swedish ancestry (have I mentioned that before?), I have to remain loyal to Ingo.

Of course Ingo’s prime weapon was his right hand.

His secret weapon, however, was his ability to deceive and lull his opponents into a false sense of security.

Even some 63/64 years after the facts of his crushing wins over Machen and Patterson, my man is still being woefully underestimated.

Good. And so it will go with an overly complacent Lewis also.

The Lackadaisical, over fed Lion will find himself struck by lightning (Ingo’s absolute speciality with some nice toonder in tow also) for the 3rd time in his career.

Of the three upset losses NOW suffered by Lewis, Ingo’s victory over Lennox will be lauded as the greatest by far.

Lewis won’t be able to reverse this loss because Ingo, who wasn’t as dumb as some believed, will steadfastly refuse to rematch him, contractual clause or not.

I think I’ve formulated a pretty convincing argument on behalf of my man Ingo, The Thinking Man’s GOAT. No?
