Ngannou ran Fury very close. But could he get past a 1989 Frank Bruno?

Opinions may change after Ngannou fights Joshua. Ngannou fought a 10-11-month inactive and not very seriously trained Fury. Joshua won't underestimate him.

Francis would stop Bruno with a left hook just like Lewis did, if he can floor Fury then he could knock Bruno out.

Francis shocked everyone by exposing an unmotivated, psychotic , overrated Fury ... he was too strong for Fury to lean all over like Wilder and seems to have a terrific chin as he shook off Fury's best shots and elbows ... that said , I have a hunch that a prepared AJ who is looking sharp and focused may take him out early .... its one thing to shake off an unfocused Fury and another to take on a highly focused and prep[ared AJ who is a monster puncher ... I am quite interested to see ...

AJ has faster hands than Bruno had and is more skilled too.

I want to see how Francis performs against AJ first, beating an overweight and overconfident Fury doesn't really prove anything to me.

I feel like people should hold off on these Ngannou vs X boxer until he fights AJ in a couple weeks. We'll have a much better picture then.

This is extremely overplayed. Fury fought Ngannou with almost the exact same tactics he used in Wilder 2 and 3. The difference being the clinch, lean and grapple didn't work as well against a man about his weight but stronger. Francis has tree trunk legs to Wilder's matchsticks.

Dang, time flies. Guess I though it was end of march for some reason.

Don’t insult Frank by claiming a novice can knock him out. Bruno was a professional boxer. Ngannou has proven nothing yet in the sport.

I'll feel more certain in predicting this after Friday night.

My guess is that AJ dominates and stops Francis in the mid to late rounds.

I'd guess the Fury from Wlad would have schooled Francis 12-0, if not got a later stoppage.

Assuming my guess about Friday is correct, I'd pick Bruno to win, too.
