I was talking to a coach and he started that Crawford is more of.a.skilled brawler and not a.textbook boxer. I asked him about a fantasy fight between him and Lara at 154. He started that Lara would outbox him not due to weight difference but due to the fact that thatlara is just a superior textbook.boxer. Thoughts ?
Prime Lara was bothered and hurt by Alfredo Angulo. Crawford has never even fought at 154lb but I'd make a sizeable bet for Bud to TKO Lara or win wide UD.
I see what your coach is saying Lara is more like a text book boxer and from a PURE stand point of just boxing skills and nothing else then its debatable.
Lara's time is done. Michael Zerafa is going to knock his ass out and finish his career at the end of this month.
Lara was a very skilled guy but I do not agree with this for one second. Crawford has achieved far more and imo has the better skillset of the two.
Lara has a better jab and straight left hand. Lara was better at controlling range, Lara had better footwork. Crawford is better at putting shots together, with hooks and uppercuts, timing, on the inside and pushing off. It's hard to say who's a better boxer because both have excellent attributes, I think Crawford is sturdier and physically stronger in the clench and that may be the extra point there.
Lara is not better than Crawford with anything. Literally nothing. He’s a few levels below as a fighter overall.
No. TC's just as skilled technically, plus he has that killer instinct which I always felt Lara needed to make it to the next level.
