When people complain about a fight stopped with 10 seconds left, or 7 like the Ford fight last week, this is what could happen. A decent boxer can easily throw 6 or 7 massive shots in 7 seconds.
Interestingly Dick Eklund only had 3 KO's out of 13 wins before he knocked out Clarke. Goes to show that no matter how low of a KO% a boxer has there's always a probability that they can still badly hurt a fighter to the point of fatality. An accumulation of punches to the head is far worse than a one punch KO.
Dickey went on to fight Allan's brother, Chris, who beat Aaron Pryor in the amateurs and Clyde Gray in the pro's. Despite battering him, Dicky got the raw end of the deal, at least to those who saw the fight.
