He's the best 0-2 heavyweight in the world.
So what's that top 500? Top 200?
Whatever it is, they guy that is 1-1 is ranked higher.

 

Impossible to say.

One performance when he was competitive with a guy who was considered top 3, one performance where he got absolutely murdered by another guy who was considered top 3.

 

Rank what? He's not a real boxer.

First i have to admit that me , as were many others , were completely wrong with the opinion about ngannou .

It was created by a false illusion of the fury fight , his physics and overhyped expert opinions which made us believe somebody extraordinary from mma is able to just enter the boxing ring and be competitive to the world class . And it would be amazing to have such a guy fighting in the top level boxing.

But No . The dream is over and if something is to good to be true it is not true .

Seeing that aj not only won but virtually destroyed him like an amateur , easily overhelming any defense of him puts the obvious on the table :

Ngannou as a boxer might be on a level of a national pro or a good amateur boxer but in no way on the level of a top world ranking as well not on a level of an olympic gold amateur hw .


We can forget names like zhang , parker , dubois , joyce , wilder etc as good opponents for him

Its probable that helenius would rock him .

I have no idea what the hell happened that fury delivered such a performance against ngannou .

 

Its hard to say because as I said Francis Ngannou overstep whole "process".

Because his name and people being curious he got opportunity to fight with best without queue.

That's Fury fault because he choose him and he failed with him which open space for Joshua to do that again

In normal situation Francis should fight first with people on Molina level. Next Chisora/Helenius.
Next people like Parker.

But that's not what he wants and for what he got time. He want earn money and he did it. Now his motivation can be different

 

I don't as I don't see him as a boxer.

 

He’s still an anomaly. A freak that morphed into a freakshow.

It’d be wise to keep him in the top ten rankings should he choose to stay in the sport.

 

Is he a tough guy who can beat any boxer in the cage absolutely

Is he a real boxer who could win titles even an area level title absolutely no

Somehow Jake Paul is more accomplished in boxing and that’s a sad statement to make

For all boxing fans Ngannau go back to UFC and smash up Jones you have no business in a boxing ring

 

I said after Fury he should really be fighting Chisora or someone of that level next.

 

I think arguably beating the number 1 ranked heavyweight in the world puts you far higher than beating a bunch of past it MMA fighters and losing to a boxing novice. Ngannou and Jake Paul shouldn’t be mentioned in the same sentence.

 

People are people overly harsh - the guy arguably beat Tyson Fury (counting the additional KD and the illegal elbow) - you don’t do that unless you have some ability even if the other guy isn’t at their best. I think he’d beat a lot of heavyweights, none of the top 10, but I think he would destroy someone like Molina or Washington. Him vs Chisora or Whyte would be interesting.

 

IMO, his victory (or close loss, if you believe the refs) over Fury says much more about Fury than it does about Francis.

What happened yesterday is what should have happened with ANY top ten. ( or top thirty) HW.

OK....mayne not in as devastation a fashion, but any top boxer should beat him.


And at this point, I would have to make AJ a heavy favourite over Fury. Or Wilder.

 

Come on AJ was landing the straight right at will he has no real boxing skill saying he might beat some washed up fighters like Molina doesn’t mean anything he shouldn’t be boxing for his own sake that was a sickening KO and it was purely because he didn’t know how to defend it

 

He’s a side show freak. He’s an amateur at best. His boxing career should be over now.
