Not so sure.. styles.. AJ has looked iffy too.. it's easy to say he will knock out Fury after that last performance but there are men lesser than Fury who've gone 12 with Joshua.. I couldn't give a **** to be honest, I'm done with Fury he's a clown but triangle theories dont really work.. I'd say the fury that trained with his uncle's rather than this Fury we have now would school any Joshua.. the fury that could switch hit and use the ring.. that fury was a very good HW.. I do think he's on the slide now and the wilder fights took a lot out of both men but I think ultimately they were both (Fury & Wilder) overrated and Joshua somewhat underrated, I was guilty of it myself
Correction. The last version of fury we seen gets crushed by the last version of AJ. A lot can change in 8-14 months
Let’s see how Fury looks against Usyk before writing him off,Fury to my annoyance can be very complacent when not motivated but seems to be a different fighter when he is written off and also has a point to prove. 2024 at least and probably beyond will be a big year for Heavyweight Boxing now the Saudis are involved with the big purses on offer and we may well see all the fights we hoped we would see from this era .
Problem with Fury post 2020 is now he has serious elbow issues which have impacted him in every single fight post Wilder 2. He used to use lots of throw away shots but not anymore as it physically pains him.
To be fair, styles make fights : - Fury had nothing for Ngannou : weak punching power and Ngannou has a good chin and was physically too strong for Fury (he could not apply his dirty boxing). - Joshua had power to stop Ngannou, no matter how good is his chin, so it was an easy win since Ngannou has a very poor boxing defense. - But Fury is a technical boxer with a good chin and Joshua won't land like that on Fury. Also Joshua's chin is likely not as good as Francis' one. So i don't necessarily buy the fact that Joshua destroys Fury. That being said, losing to a MMA fighter is the ultimate shame. It doesn't matter if styles make fights, no boxing champion should lose to a MMA fighter.
Yeah, I don't like the term bum. We always should have respect for what these guys do inside the ring.
Exactly, these guys out their health on the line every time they fight. Even with guys like Fury who, quite rightfully have pissed people off, they still deserve respect for getting in the ring and not be called bums or what not. There’s a fine line between being critical and disrespectful.
So what? I got Ngannou v AJ wrong, I also got Parker v Zhang right. That's boxing. Full credit for AJ for beating him the way he did, but at the end of the day styles make fights. Fury is still more skilled than AJ and it would be a 60/40 fight in his favour. If you disagree that's fine, you don't need to act like a child about it. Just because Wilder lost his last fight against Parker doesn't mean that he'd lose the same way against AJ. Again, styles make fights. It's still a 50/50 to me until I see them both take on a top heavyweight next. What are you gonna say if Ngannou fights Wilder and gets KO in the first round like Helenius? Now I'm happy to continue having a discussion with you, but if you're just going to throw paragraphs of drivel and insults then don't bother.
I'm not talking about your prediction. But all the ridiculous talk, and b.c. how mighty Ngannou is, and what a mental midget AJ is. I never have problem with people predictions. And can people stop with this styles make fights? Everyone knows this at this stage. And that triangle theory don't work. But you can make a very good conclusion based on certain fights. Especially recent ones. And all that styles make fights is irrelevant, as i'm claiming AJ beats Fury for a long, long time. AJ is just a stylish nightmare for Fury. And no Fury ain't more skilled than AJ. He is nowhere near AJ level, neither have AJ arsenal of weapons. He literally have nothing on AJ. Fury is more of a danger to Usyk, not to AJ. Cause Warren can bribe the judges, and the ref, and Fury can get away with murder in there. Fury won't have that luxury against AJ, neither will work, as AJ is just as big, and way stronger than Fury. Fury only tool is his holding/clinching, nothing else. This may work against Usyk, but this ain't going to work against AJ, and Ngannou fight was very telling about that. And here what this fights tell us: Fury is nowhere near AJ level of strength, as Ngannou was throwing him around the ring, and he couldn't move AJ even a bit. Fury boxing and ring IQ is beyond overrated, as even if Fury was magically not trained at all for Ngannou, and instead of 12 week camp he had, he was just drinking, he is not boxing from yesterday, he still should have boxed Ngannou ears off, but that didn't happen. Where was Fury ring IQ in that fight ? Also where was Fury movement? Hell even against Chisora and Whyte? It was just clinch, clinch, clinch fest, nothing else. Usyk has good movement, as you can't catch him, and he doesn't grab hold every 3 seconds, and get away, because of his promoter company and his star's name. And yeah good that you think Fury will beat AJ, and that Wilder is 50-50 fight. No problem with that.
Dude struggled with Franklin and take multiple rounds to put away a guy wilder murdered in a single round and because he cherry picks a pair of easy opponents, that Fury took lightly and all of a sudden He's the second coming? Hahaha ha It's almost like anyone has never seen a fighter raise or lower their game No chance does Tommy hearns Ko Duran, Ray Leonard and Hagler couldn't lol Ali couldn't legit beat Ken Norton and lost to Frazier, no way does he beat Foreman Pacquiao smashed hatton in 2 rounds, Floyd doesn't stand a chance lol I swear these idiots don't understand boxing. Styles make fights and Joshua will not look so devastating when he fights someone with a pulse, who has punch resistance and movement Parker would have a chance with a fair referee and not in UK soil Aj is a devastating puncher and probably the best front runner in the sport, let's see how he reacts when he is up against someone skilled enough to throw back at him with bad intentions
Fury Boxed brilliantly against Wilder in the rematch, who did he fight before? Wallin and he looked awful Also fought a pair of bums pre Wilder 1 and looked pretty poor Fury will turn up against Usyk. Whether he wins or not is yet to be seen, but I bet he performs I bet the same idiots on here thought little of him post wallin and picked Wilder to kill him. That Ngannou performance was the kick up the backside he needs. Im confident he beats Usyk and he puts on a defining performance with no rematch needed
Don't agree with this. Fury and Ngannou clinched a couple times in the early rounds as well and it looked similar to the AJ vs Ngannou clinches, not much happening, Fury was walking Ngannou back a couple times as well. Only when Ngannou tried to use the clinch offensively the strength difference became apparent between him and Fury later on. But against AJ we didn't get to see that cause he KO'd him very quickly lol.
