I normally would blame Floyd but its deeper than that. Boxings deep problem with multiple belts, corruption and no governing body to control the alphabet organisations created this mess in which it allowed mma and joke youtube fights to grow. Boxing's status decreased so much that a joke mike tyson vs jake paul fight would outsell canelo vs crawford for example or usyk vs fury.

Has Joe Rogan come out of his hole yet? Is he in hiding?

He truly did here. Part 2 of this will be Usyk beating Fury. After that we can move on from this completely

Well i sure think Fury is a disgrace to our sport, however after AJs rant and postfight behaviour following his second loss to Usyk, perhaps AJ shouldn't try to lecture anyone about respect

Joshua is a much better fighter than Tyson "Belly" Fury.

That's a bold claim. AJ may have a few more top 10 opponents on his resume, but it was Fury who dethroned two long reigning champions and had a much better performance against Usyk.

Hopefully we get to see them fight soon.

Wallin - Joshua was impressive, Fury was lucky to have a Queensberry referee or he would have been stopped
Klitschko - Joshua won by KO in an entertaining fight, Fury was negative, boring and lucky to get the decision. Joshua was willing to rematch, Fury was afraid to rematch the old heavyweight knowing he caught him on a bad night
Ngannou - Joshua won impressively, Fury was knocked down and would have lost with honest judges
Kevin Johnson - Joshua destroyed him, Fury was afraid to engage and went for another boring decision win

I think you're stretching on some of these. Joshua was more impressive against Wallin but Fury won every round of his fight and Wallin was downright cowardly V Joshua.

Joshua went life and death with Klit. The Fury fight was less entertaining (by far) but he won it at a canter.

What decade did Fury fight Kevin Johnson in?

Basically Fury is now old and washed up and put in a career worst performance Vs Ngannou.

Wallin: Fury still dominated the fight despite the cut. Wallin also played dirty by trying to rub open the cut with his glove because he knew he couldn't win any other way.

Klitschko: Fury absolutely dominated and dethroned Klitschko for his title. AJ struggled to win via British stoppage. They're not remotely comparable.

Ngannou: He's a novice boxer. I'd expect even Wilder to KO him in 1. Fury preformed poorly and came in unprepared.

Kevin Johnson: really? That far back? Whyte is a more recent example, but I guess Fury has a much better win over him.

Re: the thread title, I think it was pretty silly to ever suggest the reputation of the entire sport of boxing was ever on the line and entirely dependent on how one MMA fighter performed against two boxers.

Do you really think the stoppage was bad?
Klitschko had been knocked down 3 times and twice just before the stoppage
I didn't think that was a bad stoppage

I felt that it was a little premature. Then again I think referees should always give the fighter the benefit of the doubt in high profile fights.

Even if we agree the stoppage was the right thing to do, AJ struggled to get there been knocked down and buzzed himself.

It's AJ fans trying to justify a shameless money grab against a novice.

Except he didn't win, and Ngannou came off a loss. His record as of today is 0-2.

I don't overrate Fury just because I think he'd beat AJ, I just think style wise it's a fight that would give Fury an advantage. Fury is more skilled, has better ring IQ and can take a punch and recover quickly.
