My newest updated list 1. Usyk (operating at an elite level, almost completely unified) 2. Fury (has slipped from #1, might have aged out) 3. Joshua (IMO still top 3, no reason to say he isn't) 4. Parker (The Cinderella Man) 5. Hrgovic (top 5 but.......) and then...... 6. Zhang (his level is now established top 10/not top 5) 7. Sanchez (still needs to prove more) 8. Joyce (slipped and fell off a cliff) 9. Daniel Dubois (I guess because why not........) 10. Wilder (Barely deserves to be on the top 10 list but his two losses were both to top 10 guys) Fury really legit at this point may or may not be top 10 anymore, but until he actually loses, I have to have him at the top.
I'm sorry, but to those placing Parker ahead of Fury -- much less leaving Fury entirely out of the top 5 -- that's absurd. (And I'm guessing placing Chisora at #1 was a gag....) Ngannou was a non-title bout Fury took for $$ and kicks (if not literally), and he badly miscalculated. Give it 'til May 18 to see whether he learned his lesson before you exile a belt holder from the top friggin' 5. Sheesh....
Usyk AJ Fury Parker Zhang Can't see it any other way atm. Fury has done very little in the past couple of years to warrant being #2.
Usyk Joshua Fury Parker -Big gap- Probably Zhang, not well proven really... But then neither is Hrgovic and we haven't seen Joyce fight since his losses to Zhang - he has the best resume of these three, but he might be destroyed, just don't know yet!
AJ beats 41 year old retired never-good Helenius over 6 rounds (after Wilder KO1'd him) then KO's an MMA fighter and all of a sudden he's the #2 HW in the world again. Amazing. Parker has put together MUCH better wins since the two of them lost, but he's not #2? It's Joshua? Are you sure? Some posters even have him above the guy who beat him twice.
Considering Fury arguably lost to a boxing debutant (who AJ sparked out in 2), Usyk beat AJ twice and Dubois, Wilder got schooled by Parker, and Hrgovic is doing nothing I don’t see who else could be possibly ranked higher than him.
Fury / Usyk Joshua Parker Kabayel / Sanchez I would have had Zhang at 5 before the Parker fight. He slips out with the loss, and Hrgovic and Joyce look worse as well as a result. I’m struggling to choose between Kabayel and Sanchez for the #5 spot. #1 and #2 are arguable either way in my mind. Fury is WBC champ with a liberal claim, and would still be Ring champion if he had kept his mouth shut. Usyk has 3 belts and good wins over Joshua, so also has an argument for the top spot. Thankfully we will have a fight to decide this soon.
