The general consensus on ESB was that Wilder would stop AJ

I have always thought Joshua would stop Wilder pretty early and easy. Like the Ngannou fight. Joshua would outbox him then connect first and outgun him in mid range then out wrestle and stop him. He would simply 'ragdoll' him but Wilder has a chance aswell. If Joshua fights to stiff without head movement. But as we know, Joshua and co are not stupid so they will of course make adjustments for this potential hole for Wilder.

I also would like to see Wilder dropped as hard or harder than Ngannou because of his history.

Too bad Wilder is not prime anymore. He is slow in body mechanics and reactions compared to 5 years ago.

Wilder "bet on himself" and (made less money) which is why we never saw the fight.

Don't think he would. Think Wilder has lost a lot and would take a mat nap.

Wilder looked weak as a kitten against Parker. He's 37 years old and has only won 1 fight in about 4 years. He's done.

Wilder always has a punchers chance but if we're honest, Wilder was never on AJ's level. His best win is Ortiz a guy who struggled with Martin which wouldn't rank anywhere near among the best fighters Joshua beat and of course he was utterly dominated by Parker not winning a single minute of the 36 mins of that fight and Joshua comfortably beat Parker. Joshua KO's Wilder early, wouldn't even be close, which is why his team did everything they could to ensure they never fought when Wilder had the WBC title and only agreed to the fight when Wilder had nothing to lose and wanted to simply cash out.

But yeah if Wilder somehow lands first he can KO Joshua but smart money would be on Joshua taking Wilder out before he gets the chance to do that.

    Wilder is mentally finished

Wilder was always who would land first and it's definitely AJ right now.

Sure Wilder could blindside everyone and find his punch early but it's unlikely now.

Yeah. The argument for Wilder has been Joshuas lack of head movement. Now we know that Team Joshua would simply correct it to take away Wilders only chance other than a lucky punch.

Always thought that if AJ was prepared to let his hands go then he would beat Wilder. His timing and his ability to pull the trigger looked gone in his last fight which takes the danger away from Wilder being the killer that he was.

    Now? No

He’s shot to pieces, completely inactive, lost self-belief and become gun-shy

He’s finished at the top level, he made his millions from the Fury trilogy and the Saudi Parker payday.

He would always have a small puncher’s chance against anybody but realistically it’s over, he’s closing in on 40 with lots of mileage from the Fury beatings

No he can no longer pull the trigger due to wars with Fury, age and inactivity

Wilder from 3 years ago would do to Aj what he did to Brezeale and Helenius, 2 guys he destroyed much easier

Aj would win now, but wilder from couple years ago puts his lights out in 60 seconds

Let's see how good Aj is whe he is 38-39

Aj quits under adversity. Wilder for all his technical deficiencies goes out on his shield. The guy fights to the end

Aj would never have the balls to throw to the end

What utter rubbish. AJ would at any point of their time as champions till now beat Wilder in 3 rounds. Using other fighters that they have both fought is nonsense or are you saying AJ is a better boxer than Fury you spanner
