    Usyk is seen by many as the current top dog in the heavyweight division, but how would he do against the late 80s number 1 ranked heavyweight Mike Tyson?

    I think Tyson by bodyshot but Usyk is the more skilled of the two

    I think prime Tyson would be the toughest opponent for Usyk among all ATGs

    Tyson is a very tough match-up for Usyk. From what we've seen of Usyk, he doesn't like pressure; Chisora won a few rounds off him, Joshua was also able to hurt him to the body

    Is Usyk skilled enough to outbox Tyson for 12-15 rounds? Potentially yes, especially with his southpaw stance;

    However I think it's more likely that Tyson catches him and stops him.

    Iron Mike by stoppage

    He'd have to treat Tyson like a live grenade for the first 4-6 rounds until he got his timing down, that's for sure.

    Even if you want to argue Usyk is better than tyson p4p, the style is a nightmare for him. Tyson has no problem getting inside of a southpaws reach, can easily knock you out out of the southpaw stance himself because he transitioned between stances in the middle of a cobination, threw KO bombs in bunches from all possible angles. Vicious bodypuncher. Iron chin that couldnt be slowed down by a good shot, had to literally beat him down to get him off.

    I’m not sure Usyk has the power to keep Tyson away from him.

    That, and Usyk doesn't have the strength to clinch and tie Tyson up. Tyson walks through Usyk

    Mike Tyson is arguably the worst possible opponent Usyk could have ever fought.

    Mike Tyson KO's inside of 4 rounds IMO.

    I'd also add that Usyk probably wouldn't have much of an advantage in hand/foot speed against Mike, if any.

    I do believe that Usyk could cause problems for Mike though, if he can survive Mike's customary early onslaught, which I think he would. Think Tyson vs. Pinklon Thomas. Mike stormed out and won the first round big, then things slowed down and a past-it Thomas managed to be competitive for a few rounds before getting nailed. Usyk would be more slippery and active than Thomas was, and wouldn't just lay inside with Mike as much as Pinklon did.

    Tyson would be smart to not forget going to the body in this one. He does that, I think it greatly improves his chances of getting an eventual stoppage, but Usyk would be a complicated task. Can't think of any opponent of Mike's that had a style anything like Usyk.

    I don't see how Usyk could win.
    Usyk does not really clinch, and he hangs around in Tyson's preferred punching range. Usualy that's good for Usyk becasue he's quicker. Tyson is just as fast. Tyson is an excellent body puncher, and Usyk doesn't take them well. Tyson is also a great finisher, so after Usyk is hurt to the body, he's done.

    Have to agree with this, I personally struggle to see Usyk winning this one but was curious what others thought. I think the body attack would take him out.
