Who in your opinion are the best and the worst boxing commentators?

It was either Ward or Bradley I think, but whoever coined the saying "downloading data" gets my worst award.

 

Best: Lampley (at his best), Bernstein, I actually liked Steve Albert on showtime back in the day, Manny steward, Merchant (in his small doses), I liked the chemistry between the Tuesday Night fight guys (Michaels and o Grady) though separate I thought they were whatever. Roy Jones is another awesome announcer. Sheridan in the 90s for a one man crew did admirably though I wonder why he was never brought on to one of the big stations (if he was I forgot)

Worst: Bradley may be the worst ever, though on occasion he has a really good take that I completely agree with. Marc Kreigel comes across like a fanboy, a company shill, and ignorant (quite a notorious threefeat). The whole ESPN crew remind me of a WWE announce team, where they have strict guidelines on what they say and how the matches should be announced while ignoring (as best they can) something that goes against the narratives they want to follow. DAZN have a level of shillery as well but its also layered with ignorance of the sport by some of their team. I don't enjoy the DAZN crew but they dont distract me from awfully bad, biased, meandering, and shill infested commentary that ESPN subjects me to.

 

I think others have covered the best boxing commentators; HBO boxing (minus Kellerman, and minus some of the later fights) was probably the peak of boxing coverage. Of recent commentators I've always had a soft spot for Paulie on the mic.
In terms of the worst; the majority of the current DAZN commentary team (Mora and Mannix get a special mention here), Ward, Bradley and of course Tony Bellew.

 

What if they yell OOOOH? I prefer when they yell GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY! Gets me every time. LOL
