I couldn't figure out a less confusing and long winded way to title this thread. Here's my question

Has there ever been a bout between a fighter facing someone that has his last name as his first and his first name as his last?

    Example
Something like James Wilson vs Wilson James, or Jackson Martin vs Martin Jackson

All I know is Charlie “White Lightning” Brown never fought Charlie “Choo Choo” Brown and I’m still mad at every matchmaker living during their time for not making it happen.

Personally, I’d pick Charlie Brown but I’d like to see it happen to see if I’m right.

    John Fitzpatrick and Patrick Fitzjohn?

My bad. I’m confusing my answer with the punch line for an old joke.

I don’t know if this is right, but for me the correct answer somehow is Sinan Samil Sam.

If he fought his own male offspring, come to think of it, he’d be fighting the Son of Sam.

Now I want to go look up him getting introduced before a fight to see if the ring announcer repeats his last hame like they often do (“George Foreman … Foreman”).

“And in the red corner, weighting 252 pounds, the Bull from Bosporus … Sinan Samiil Sam … Sam.”

Honestly this is a question that's been on my mind for like 20 years as ludicrous and trivial as it is

Tiger D’s manager: “We don’t need a plan for this bum. Tiger D1ck is gonna be coming at him all night. Simple.”

What if there was a boxer first name Junior, last name Senior. Now he has a son named Junior Senior Jr., and he fights like an old timer so his nickname is senior but he's young. And when he fights someone older he's "Senior" Junior Senior Jr the junior in this fight to his senior.

I could say ‘I see what you did there,’ but it would be a lie because my brain froze about halfway through it.

I did see the ‘nickname is senior but he’s young, but I’d go with the opposite (I think) like Young Stribling or Young Griffo and call him Young Junior Senior, Jr. (assuming he’s named after his father).

Young Junior "Old Bones" Senior Jr trained by his father, the now much older "The Kid" Junior Senior Sr.

Mike Tyson Vs. Tyson Fury would be the closest thing to what you are looking for.
