Is Max Baer comparable to Prince Naseem stylistically?

I've seen some make the connection, any thoughts?

The description I've read of a comparison would be that Max relies on his natural speed and athleticism in a similar way to Hamed, rather than fundamentals.

Well Hamed was most pronounced in form by his angles & movement, which I cannot really compare to any fighter I’ve seen.

Naz was more naturally talented and athletically adept and I wouldn’t describe Baer as fast personally.

Apart from hitting hard and acting around in the ring, I can't see anything really.

Both were hard punchers but that's where similarities end

Not even remotely. Max relied on big power and an excellent chin.

They both had unconventional styles and relied on their physical attributes. That applies to many fighters, though. More is needed for me to consider fighters as comparable stylistically.

No not really, but it's not as silly as it sounds in the first place IMO. I think that strategically, they had real similarities in key areas and it's underlined by the fact that they both fought with low hands. Baer and Hamed both adopted positions in the ring where they tried to convince opponents that it was safe to punch and then countered. They adopted risky strategies that informed their own offence and that included paucity on defence.

No where near the same. If Baer had Hamed’s style, speed an power an somehow brought it up to heavyweight level, he would’ve been the greatest heavie of all time an the biggest attraction
