Sandy Saddler utilised his uppercut to tremendous effect on the inside

Ask Edwin Rosario about Julio Cesar Chavez and uppercuts. James Toney was very effective with that punch as well.
My personal pick for the best uppercut is the guy that hit me on the nose with one in 1985; I think of him every time I try to take a deep breath through my nose.

Jack Johnson used his very frequently it was his signature punch. Everyone should throw them more often now. Squarer stances.

 

On uppercuts, got give a little love to Aaron Pryor.
With His all action style it's hard to see exactly what he's doing.
But he also had viscous uppercuts either hand.
Including one of the rarest and best combinations that ended with the uppercut I've seen.
I think it was the Valdez fight. Pryor was in the middle of one of his attacks when he nailed Valdez with an over hand right, with in a split second of landing the right hand, he bolo's the punch and landed a perfect right uppercut.
I've never seen that done before or since.
Pryor is a extremely underrated fighter by some.
Another action fighter great with uppercuts was "Homicide " Henry Armstrong!!

Marvin Johnson threw multiple uppercuts in combination. He was kind of primitive in offense, but those were nasty.
