Is Ben Shalom saying all the articles about them are coming from Hearn and Matchroom?

There are many who do everything they can to destroy Boxxer's events with all sorts / kinds of dirty tricks.

You have to wonder if they want to finish Boxxer off so they can eventually return to SKY

Nah, Hearn loves the freedom, the cash and the worldwide platform DAZN gives him. Other than the cross-selling on the football and higher profile UK PPV nights, there’s not a great deal Sky can offer him.

I mean, I’m sure he’d happily see Boxxer off, but it’s not to get back on Sky. Imagine his ideal scenario is the rumours that Sky bin off boxing completely.

You're probably right, but surely that would be incredible short sighted. IF, sky did decide to bin off boxing completely then it isn't going to cause a mass exodus of sky subscribers to suddenly join DAZN and be hard-core boxing followers more likely is that the interest in British boxing would completely wilt.

The last remaining fighters from UK boxings booming period are in the flickering embers of their careers now, pretty much any big ticket selling boxer capable of selling out an arena is mid thirties with a couple of fights max left - their are very few stars getting built and in the UK without sky you would have next to zero chance of doing it.

I wish their was enough hard-core fans to support a thriving UK boxing scene with sell out arenas and make big viewing figures, but as much as some of them annoy me casuals and mass numbers of them are needed to make this happen. And those aren't the kind of people who suscribe to boxing channels (let's be honest-DAZN doesn't offer a UK sports fan a lot else does it)

Ye course he is saying that.
    No doubt Shalom is correct.
Hearn tried something similar with Frank but Frank's on top now. Bet Eddie is just dying inside.

I believe it's to do with Mazher Majeed poaching Matchroom fighters too but yes Hearn is behind this.

Sky could still sell DAZN PPV shows though, and without competition from their own promoter they might put more effort in?

Can you explain how Matchroom would know about payments flowing into and out of Boxxer's bank accounts?

But what they can't do is provide a worldwide TV deal.

Matchoom have no US business without TV. They are not going back to being just being a UK based promoter unless they have too.

Never suggested otherwise. But DAZN would make more money from UK PPV if Sky promoted them and took an active interest.

Hearn has said many times Sky just don’t promote his fights so surely there’s mutual interest flogging DAZN on the platform and giving Sky an incentive to feature it? On my Sky box at least, TNT Box Office shows get featured heavily for a week before each event. Can’t honestly remember if Sky Sports News covered Fury vs Ngannou for example but I can’t think they wouldn’t.

DAZN PPVs are available on the Sky box though, same way TNT ones are. Sky don’t do any promotional activity for either though and don’t get a cut of sales or anything, DAZN and TNT have paid for the EPG slots as a way of distributing the PPVs.
