How can any boxing judge be so bad? Even Richardson Hitchins' promoter Eddie Hearn admits he “was shocked” when he heard Tim Cheatham’s 117-111 scorecard in favor of Hitchins last night. Should Tim Cheatham be allowed to work fights in the future? Shouldn't he be investigated? Boxing judges are supposed to be fair and objective. Do judges like Cheatham and Glenn Feldman damage the popularity of the sport of boxing?
I didn't watch the fight, but I'll take your word on the scorecards being dubious. The world of boxing judges is a tight knit closed circle, and there is rarely repercussions for bad scoring unless it is so egregious it can't be ignored (e.g CJ Ross in Mayweather vs Canelo, A.Byrd in GGG vs Canelo). Should Tim Cheatham be allowed to work fights in the future? No. Will he? Yes
“Cheats Them” Cheatham Consistently get it wrong Can’t be that bad at scoring / seeing a fight to be a legit judge.
Here's the thing. I don't think Cheatham is crooked. I believe he is fair and he is objective. I just don't think he's good at his job.
He needs to be investigated. So do all the other US judges they routinely appoint for world title fights and big fights over there and who they continue to appoint despite the fact they have a long track record of robbing fighters and handing in scandalous scorecards.
He's one of the worst - routinely turns out scorecards which have no basis in reality. He also had Tszyu 116-112 over Fundora, which is crazy (I was rooting for Tim).
One judge that is constantly on the other spectrum of score compared to the other judges. He has been very bad to the point it is criminal.
I honestly think that some of these judges actually lose concentration and fail to actually watch the fight, and just give the round to the expected/A-side/favourite in lieu of actually scoring it.
You can name any one of the Vegas officials & they'd be guilty of the same thing. The NSAC look the other way instead of investigating them . In fact ALL state commissions are the same. Surely they cannot ALL be incompetant

Yes. How do the same handful of judges keep getting appointed for fights like they're the most honest and best at their job in the game when they have a long track record of being corrupt and robbing the foreigner or B side?
But if you noticed CJ Ross & A Byrd/s scorecards were equally ludicrous. Ross scored Floyd/ Canelo as a draw & Byrd's was 118-110 to Canelo over GGG Both should have been investigated equally. CJ Ross was removed as a judge but Byrd's card was quoted by the NSAC boss as " Adelaide is one of our best judges she just had a bad night , we will not be investigating" Ross card favored Canelo but Byrds card favored Floyd over GGG Why the difference I wonder ? lol
Just seen the fight now in full and no word of a lie was just about to start a new thread on this **** before I saw this. Disgraceful card. Lemos won that fight by a round. Scored the 10th even.
