Fresh from completing the Manchester Marathon in under 3 hours on Sunday, Michael Conlan says :

“My goal is still world titles and I’m not coming back for anything less or to just get a win back. If I really wanted, I could just go and get a win to finish on, but I want to do what I set out to.”

Fair play on getting under 3 hours for the marathon, not an easy feat to achieve.

Not surprising by Conlan in the comeback, man has a warrior mentality. Just hope he doesn't get hurt long term.

Sub 3 hours is impressive for a boxer. He’s still burnt from Rio 2016 which is understandable as he was unfairly treated. I don’t think this ends well and he should have stayed at 122lbs to have had a chance of winning a belt. If he comes back at 130 again he’s getting stopped by another Jordan Gill level boxer.

Conlan is the male version of Terence Harper.

    Looking forward to his comeback.

Conlan going for the IBO then, he's not winning anything else, Wood took the best out of him and he's never coming back from that. If you're getting stopped by Jordan Gill it's over at World level.

Hopefully he is matched carefully as he would get splattered vs first puncher he faces.

Is undersized, likes to exchange after a few rounds and doesn’t have the chin to do that or the concentration to box.

Yes I was expecting the opposite to happen. Proves to me Conlan is finished. But pleased at the outcome.

While I agree he got jobbed in Rio I've disliked him from day one as he's always had an air of entitlement. The taps aff and middle finger at the judges thing wasn't the classiest move either. Good luck to him but he's damaged goods

Yeah that was a bad knock out falling out of the ring.

He was absolutely standing wood on his head that night as well.

You can see if he chose to box and move and was disciplined enough to do that he would do better. But he loves a tear up and has below average power and punch resistance.
