Rematch will be big money. Many though Ryan wouldn't even be competitive

Garcia probably isn't even at his best during this fight. He was absolutely on drugs and have mental problems yet he walked down Haney.

What a roller coaster of a fight. Interesting reading some of the comments on here as well. It’s accepted that Haney is a top class fighter but it appears that some are now claiming he’s an over rated bum. Lol. Could it not be possible that Garcia and Haney are both excellent fighters. Just because Garcia lost to Tank doesn’t make him a tomato can all of a sudden. Now that Haney has lost to Garcia, it doesn’t make him a bum either. I wouldn’t be confident in picking either guy to win in a rematch.

i thoroughly enjoyed the fight. Garcias fast start and hurting Haney….then for a good few rounds it looked like it was gonna be a matter of routine for Haney as he started backing an inactive Garcia up….then Garcia got another KD, Haney showed heart and good recovery. Through the second half of the fight I had no idea who was gonna win. That’s makes for a good fight in my opinion. Even with Haneys hugging it stayed exciting.

I’d definitely say Garcia is the one with more scope for improvement and to go further. Haney has great skills, but he lacks power and chin which is unfortunate as most great fighters possess at least one of those two. Garcia needs to polish up and if he’s gonna insist on using that shoulder roll, someone needs to teach him how to use it properly.

Sorry Brother Serge seeing this late and not sure of the context you are responding to overall. However knowing you to a stickler for weight bullying etc whereas you know I am the opposite in the sense that as long as the combatants make the fight weight at the weigh in I am good. I think Haney has himself to blame. Garcia did not even try to make 140 pounds hence his victory is stained like Castillo over Corrales. No doubt his fans including the teenage girls and TV will be delirious. One fighter made the sacrifice the other did not. I am no Haney fan yes I respect him for what he has done but felt he would get clocked one day. He could have won this fight by boxing and being defensively responsible but he chose to go after Ryan as advised by Bill his father. Happy for Ryan and my man Derrick James so let’s hope Ryan now stops the crap and truly dedicates himself because as you know I have a keen eye so not sure Ryan was so great tonight he was good but Haney was poor so poor what happened to his ring generalship. Also another question we must ask why are both of these guys struggling to make 140 pounds when they moved up not so long ago from 135 pounds. I think we can all agree that Tank, Teo and Shakur are the top guns between 135-140.

Drunk boxing is actually quite an effective art.

I'm ebullient after reading all if this **** in the RBR (without spoiling it for myself). Wow. Awesome win. Let's hope Ryan doesn't OD tonight or die from alcohol toxicity. The man is about to embark on a 10 day drug and hoe binge for the ages.

Side note: you know Ry is going to rub this **** in online to the hilt so the battle hasn't ended for Haney. Stills of Haney on his arse for the next 6months on X is pretty much an inevitability from multiple sources  Those homies don't **** around with the insults

    Greetings Brother Olu.

Haney is the biggest weight bully in the sport, Olu, and he has forged a career beating shot or well past prime leprechauns, OAPs, and OAP leprechauns who he out weighs by 2-3 divisions or 4 in Loma's case albeit he clearly lost that fight so the size excuses are absolutely comical coming from Haney fans of all people. And even more so given Haney was clearly bigger than Ryan.

    160 << GGG here weighing 170 with a 70'' reach
    154
    147
    140 << Haney here weighing 165 with a 71'' reach
    135 << Haney here weighing 160 << Loma 140 max

This is patently ridiculous and makes a mockery of the sport

The weight difference between Haney and Loma is the same as it is between Bivol and Haney sans possibly 2-3lbs if Bivol is at his heaviest. Bivol vs Haney - legal homicide KO1

As for Ryan missing weight and his victory being stained. Not at all. Haney has never fought anyone remotely close to his size and I have heard from someone in the know who has been informed by reputable sources in the game that Haney himself has missed weight multiple times and it has been covered up

And like I said, none of these people had the slightest problem with Salido intentionally missing weight against a 1 fight novice Loma who had never been past 5 rounds before and then blowing all the way up to 147, having an 11lb weight advantage on Loma, and then proceeding to foul Loma like crazy all night, where over a third of his total punch connects were illegal blows to Loma's nuts, hips, thighs.

Loma was done dirty by Salido, the corrupt as sin ref, and the judges and was fighting a way bigger opponent, whereas, conversely, Haney was only done dirty by Ryan who he was bigger than not way smaller and Ryan was done dirty by a corrupt ref who robbed him of a KO win, even more KDs, and who should've DQ'd him for holding, let alone deducted multiple points. Haney is the one who had everything stacked in his favour and a heavily rigged deck not Ryan.

Haney is just not that skilled, Olu. He's just a gigantic weight bully with good boxing skills, not P4P top 10 elite ones, who knows how to keep it long. People see things that are just not there. You think Haney's skills are even comparable to the skills of Loma, Usyk, Crawford, Inoue or even your boy Twink? Not even close. I could probably name 15 current boxers who are more skilled than Haney

And he has barely fought any punchers, let alone prime ones his own size. Tonight he fought one closer to his size who wasn't old and shot like the much smaller Linares and he got thoroughly humiliated and exposed.

On the Salido vs Loma fight I blame Top Rank because Loma should not have taken that as his 2nd fight at least let him have a 10 or 12 rounder first.

If I was Haney’s manager I would have called the fight off unless Garcia made the weight or tried at least let him go through the stress of making 140 pounds if my guy did. So his win is tarnished. Had he made the weight and outcome the same he would be a bona fide world champion.
