No, I'm saying that Benavidez is a heavyweight and he's scared of guys in heavyweight division, and Canelo is right for not fighting a heavyweight pretending to be a super middleweight who weighs around 200 at fight night.

Canelo is right for not fighting his number 1 contender because of rehydration lmao.

Were Trout, Cotto and Floyd wrong for facing Canelo when he rehydrated 2/3 weight classes above?

Was Golovkin and Cotto wrong for facing Canelo when he came in at 175 for their title fights?

He's a heavyweight who's never actually fought at heavyweight in 28 fights. Right. Canelo is a bantamweight.

Youre right about everything but ages.
That physical prime stuff is set on parameters 60 years ago.
I'd say if you aren't as active that prime can stretch to late 30s, due to modern medicine.
But Canelos been very active, as most athletes are, so he's used that prime years.
But when you look at all the champions, across the board at all the current weight classes.
    Most are 35+.
I think it's the perfect blend of that last bit of prime athletic power mixed with the right level of experience.

Canelo is apprehensive for various reasons, but fundamentally he has been a ducker/ cherrypicker his entire career:

    1. Risk Assessment: Canelo, being one of boxing's premier stars, enjoys the luxury of choosing his opponents. Benavidez, renowned for his knockout power and unbeaten streak, poses a significant risk. The notion is that Canelo may shy away from the fight due to the potential jeopardy it poses to his record and legacy.

    2. Weight Class Tactics: Both fighters have competed in the super middleweight division, but Canelo's career has seen him move across multiple weight categories. His reluctance to face Benavidez could stem from strategic considerations regarding weight class or timing, aligning with his broader career objectives.

    3. Promotional Dynamics: Boxing negotiations are often influenced by promotional companies and television networks. Canelo's dealings with various promoters and broadcasters could impact the likelihood of a fight with Benavidez, especially if there's no alignment between the entities representing each boxer.

    4. Public Pressure and Timing: Despite widespread demand from boxing enthusiasts for the matchup, Canelo might be biding his time. Delaying the fight could build anticipation and maximise revenue, or he might be waiting for an opportune moment that aligns with his career trajectory.

Munguia is one of those farm animals that kids raise as a project and then auction off. He grew up to be big and strong. They even gave him an adorable name: Jaime. When the money changes hands and everything becomes real, the kids realize there's a reason they never let him out of the pen. He was raised for a specific purpose; to be slaughtered at the altar of Canelo.

The Jaime project has been going on for years and this was always the end game.

Why would Canelo go hunt The Most Dangerous Game when he can drive his golf cart over to the pig pen and get that bacon?

Textbook duck since a Benavidez bout would be high risk and low reward.

You answered this yourself when you quoted some winning decisions he got that he did not deserve. He had the Vegas judges all making sure he never lost a fight in Vegas, while the NSAC never seemed to notice his many suspect actions along the way

Any excuse but the real one, Canelo doesn't think he can beat Benavidez. Knows he cannot beat Bivol, & the mere mention of the name Beterbiev causes a reaction similar o what Floyd suffered when he saw Antonio Margarito standing in front of him lol
