Who do you worship at 175

Kid, unless the Good Lord weighed 175 I would say nobody. However, as far as my favorite goes, like you, I enjoyed the hell out of Victor Galindez. That dude was one bada$$ and made every fight worth watching. Also loved the fact that he fought the best, fought them often, gave rematches to tough opponents and even threw a slew of non-titles into the mix. Man, these part-time once a year fighters could learn so much from a fighter like Galindez.

Artur Beterbiev is one of my current favorite modern fighters and could very well be the man of 175 should he beat Bivol.

I loved watching all of Vicious Victor Galindez's WBA Title defenses televised from various venues in Italy and France. It was a tall order for Galindez to recapture his WBA Light Heavyweight Title from Mike Rossman on April 14 1979. I wish that he would have unified with then WBC Light Heavyweight Champion John Conteh.

 

Word.
Galindez belonged to a foregone era, when being the Champion meant you would fight your challengers as much as required to prove your were worthy of holding the Title.
