Bivol has some of the best feet in the game and he slips in and out of range very quickly and seamlessly Beterbiev has great footwork too but Bivol is certainly not one of the fighters you would want to be facing coming back from a career-threatening knee injury that could hinder your movement

And Beterbiev is going to be 40 by the time this happens or a few months away from turning 40 even if the recovery goes well and there are no complications. I've always favoured Beterbiev via late stoppage in this match up but this could really tilt the balance in Bivol's favour

Beterbiev is done at LHW. He had trouble making 81kg in amateurs and had to move up to HW. It does not get any easier at 40 after knee surgery. Even with PEDs.

Pedbiev should just retire, he’s been running since Bivol linked up with Matchroom and he bailed out of his DAZN contract - he doesn’t want that slick soviet schooling.

meh, he is too often injured, doing something wrong. Is this injury common in boxing? I dont think so. Anyway we wont see this fight.

I have a feeling that Beterbiev is tight at the weight and trains like a maniac to keep in shape to make making 175lbs easier for himself

If he was at CW the same injuries wouldn't be occuring

He had knee surgery in Russia a few years ago so maybe his other leg has gone too.

    Ribs
    Knees
    Shoulders
    Jaw

A recurring issue which will only get more frequent as he gets older. He should unify and move up to CW if possible.

That some s*** news. Very shyte. Imagine though if Bivol was the one pulling out, due to injury... The amount of hate towards him and the ducking accusations would be insane... I don’t want to say it, but, Beterbiev also trying to claim ot was Bivol fault that this fight hasn't happen earlier, which is b. c.
I hope Beterbiev make a full recovery and the fight actually take place. Shyte injury though and he may not be the same for real.

The injury isn't too bad. I guess we will see it in Autumn.

Yeah he gets an injury before every fight that causes a delay. I think Anthony Yarde said it in an interview after Callum Smith lost and it was reported the day before the fight there was an abnormality reported. I'm a fan of Beterbiev but the only fight I think he wasn't injured before recently was the Marcus Browne fight. Joe Smith fight was delayed, Anthony Yarde fight was delayed, Callum Smith fight was delayed. Would question how often he is actually being tested.

yup knee injuries are basicly a career killer in boxing expecially at the later ages. sergio martinez was never the same after his knee injury, basicly aged over night.

I love Beterbiev, he's my guy, but these delays are really frustrating, I know he this big bad warrior who trains like a spartan, but maybe if he just took it easier in the gym he might not get injured as much. The fight will probably have to be rescheduled again when Biev inevitably contracts scurvy, typhus, and trench foot somehow. I pray it gets made though, I think Biev stops Bivol and it's the only fight I'm actually desperate to see.

This will encourage Fury to withdraw from the Usyk fight again on May 18th.

These two avoided each other for years. They got a pass. Literally in the same division as champions forever and never fought each other. Garbage.
