The only thing on the slide with Canelo is his workrate and killer instinct

His reflexes looked sharp. He was exceptionally calm when under fire.

I would argue that the slippage is a combination of making boatloads of money, being satisfied to cruise to decision wins, which comes from his trainer as well.
Eddie Reynoso keeps telling him to be careful, constantly asks him if hes hurt , if hes ok and to take his foot off the gas (clearly showing care and conpassion for his fighter) unless the fight is really close, then he tells him to go all out.

But for the most part Reynoso isnt really the Emmanuel Steward type that tries to get his man to wreck the overmatched opponent.

I’m with that. He has noticeably slowed, but with the right dance partner he still looks great. He should be fighting more Mexicans.

Looked to me like he had Munguia hurt in the 12th and let him off the hook, perhaps as a favor to the youngster.

Boxing is an artform more akin to love not hate

If you embrace the hate you will never be a top flight boxer. There can be no emotion just a fully in sync fighting machine mentally and physically performing your craft.

None of the best fighters in history had hatred in their hearts when fighting. You have to be cooler than cool. A cool fighter is the most terrifying.

Canelo is fun to watch even if he doesn't get a stoppage.

Canelo has never had a high work rate because of his poor stamina which is caused by his explosive movements during the early rounds of a fight, he puts everything into every punch.
