I have heard this said a few times.
Obviously we won't know for sure until the fight is over. But - on paper - do you consider Usyk to be Fury's toughest fight? Or do you think Klitschko and \ or Wilder, for example, have that distinction?

Fury won't fight anyone unless they stunk or were severely compromised. If he steps foot in the ring he thinks Usyk is shot.

no doubt. first time fury gets in the ring against hof skills. sure he beat wlad, but those weren't the skills that put him in the hof.

On paper Wladimir was a biggest test he was a long reigning undefeated Heavyweight champion with KO power and Fury was fighting him in his backyard.

I'm not a fan of Fury but if we are talking strictly without hindsight i doubt many people picked Fury to beat Wladimir, where as Usyk vs Fury is much more balanced in regards to who the fans think will win.

Certainly more so than Wilder. Wlad was getting on in years, but still dealt with everyone with ease. The fight was a snooze fest and less damaging for both than an average sparrings session, but Fury got the job done without controversy. But Usyk for me.

Wlad, Wilder, Usyk, hard to know for sure, they are all difficult for different reasons. I think though given where Fury is life and career-wise, yes, this is probably the toughest fight for him to win.

Wlad would obviously be the most accomplished at HW opponent he's fought but that was a Wlad who was four months shy of turning 40. Prime Wlad would've KO'd him.

The Dosser is a manufactured unskilled can crushing delusional hype job one-trick pony binman with a big right hand and a stupid catchphrase

John McDermott was obviously Fury's toughest test to date as Fury was convincingly defeated by John.
Next would be Otto Wallin who created a cut bad enough to have resulted in every single boxer other than Fury declared a loser
    by TKO.

Next toughest will be Usyk, until he thrashes Fury, then he will indeed be Fury's toughest test.

As mentioned already Wlad Wilder and now Usyk, all threats in there own way,Wlad a career Heavyweight, consummate pro and boxer puncher with the Kronk Heavyweight style of grapple/maul (Lewis/Fury). Wilder career Heavyweight, undefeated at the time with monster power and an unorthodox style and now Usyk another consummate pro with great iq and boxing skill set who has moved up to Heavyweight to try and be even greater. Fury not fully fit after the big weight loss travelling to America to face Wilder who was the monster of the division at the time for me was Fury’s biggest test. Usyk is a test no doubt about it but Fury has had a long time to prepare for the brilliant ex Cruiserweight King, but as good as he is Usyk does not pose the same threat as the undefeated Wilder did at the time .

On paper Wladimir was his toughest test................Wilder really wasn't a tough test as he only lost like 5-6 rounds between 3 fights. Him not being young, being worn down and probably nearing the end of his career, I'd say sure this could be his toughest test.

The physical advantages fury has over usyk are just too much, unless fury is shot, don’t think anyone should be giving usyk a chance here. If fury doesn’t beat usyk he should hang his head in shame. Wlad given the context at the time should still stand as his biggest challenge. Should usyk win, that would be one hell of an achievement and I’m sure he’s determined as hell to upset the AppleCart here. I actually do want him to win as he seems like a cool guy and i like to root for the little man :)

Or hes cashing out. I mean this is it basically. If hes not going to fight usyk he might as well retire. There is literally no other option other than Joshua that is both a chance to redeem himself after the Ngannou embarassment and also any kind of real payday for him.

After the Ngannou fight, people wont pay for Chisora trilogies. He has milked the cow dry and he knows it.

Usyk is far more skilled than Fury and I think that will show as the fight progresses. Usyk isn’t a stationary punching bag like Ngannou, Whyte, Chisora, and Wlider were. Usyk deslt with Joshua and I expect him to do the same with Fury.
