When he fought Akinwande he was 8-2. 6 fights before Akinwande got the EBU belt. No one would have had ever mentioned him again if not for his son but he wasn't trash. He fought for the revered "BBBC of "Central Area" HW belt and almost won. Hes a terrible repulsive human being though. Thats a whole different story.

No, he was just bad. Then, as soon as his son won the World Heavyweight Title, John Fury acted like he won it and said Lennox Lewis ducked him. It's not like John's a good fighter now, either. He headbutted a guy minding his own business today, a guy who was half his size, and the guy barely blinked and Fury came out of it with a bloody head. John Fury sucks.
I remember he called out Lennox Lewis when he had a beef with something LL said about Tyson. Even old man Lennox would beat 7 shades of **** out of John Fury…and quickly.
