"Dear diary. Today is the 17 of May 2024. I have once again been reminded that I am indeed an idiot." I just read the part: And misunderstood it.
Schooled me? He told me that he heard a "Benavidez" interview that the WBC will give Benavidez 10 days after his fight with Gvozdyk to decide if he will campaign at 168 or stay at 175. Is Benavidez saying the truth? We don't know. What we do know is that Benavidez said he isn't a SMW anymore, but that he will drain himself to 168 for Canelo. My point is that if he was serious about fighting Canelo, why didn't he wait a week to enforce his mandatory status? No one can properly answer that question, not even Benavidez.
Nothing he said was inaccurate, I was just informing him about what Benavidez said in the interview about what his options are through the WBC. Your attempts to try to drive a wedge here is idiotic. Give it a rest, stop trying to instigate, rather stick to discussing the topics at hand in a rational manner.
I'm very excited about the prospect of this fight. Crawford will have to walk a tight rope and fight a near perfect fight. He's capable of it, but obviously could be KOed with one punch. It will be an exceptionally tense and intriguing fight.
Actually I have some interest in this fight. Canelo should be too big and strong, but Crawford a) has a good style match-up, and b) has the frame to rehydrate to a decent weight
I would not be surprised at all if Canelo challenged Benavidez at 168, in a very public manner, May, 2025...w hopes of draining.
Delicious fight. Bud is a beast himself. Remember Spence's supposed size advantage? It was none. Bud surprisingly was stronger and had the inertia advantage along with his IQ, speed, and skill advantages.
