He was never suicidal. He went missing because he was a fat wanker who failed a drugs test. Then used the mental health angle to try and garner support despite calling everyone ugly. Which is ironic as he looks like the troll off Harry Potter.

If you can provide some evidence that Joshua "goaded" Fury during the meltdown phase 2016-17, I'd be surprised. Beyond his usual "Fury where you at" street gangster nonsense, of course, done to feed the coke-head casuals. By 2018 Fury was on the comeback trail so fair game. Fury never seemed particularly desperate to fight Joshua either, despite whatever he might have said; clearly Warren wanted to put it on but Fury made it hard. Why would that be?

Fury does get a free pass in one respect. Going from Peter Fury to Davison to Sugar Hill, and clearly leaning on Andy Lee at times, is seen as a stroke of genius whereas AJ's hunt for a trainer was apparently desperate. The level of debate in boxing is puerile sometimes.

    @Noel857 loves his female boxing

He is the forum's female boxing guru who will be on your case should you post your disapproval of female boxing.

Got to agree and have Usyk down as an elite fighting legend regardless of future results.

Fury went through trainers while he was winning, which is something that is admired throughout the landscape of sport; knowing the right time to make a change. Joshua was beaten to a pulp by a blob, and then schooled twice. It's not difficult to differentiate between the two, so it seems as though you are biased in some way, Bob. Considering the other posts I have read of yours, you don't seem like the sort of chap that would put his hands up and admit that he's wrong.

Bob is objective and unfortunately for Joshua, that blob defeat is Joshua's legacy fight people will always remember first when looking back in a few years.

I’m wrong all the time on here, don’t worry about that :)

Fury ditched Davison after the Wallin debacle where he was on the slide and the cut makes people forget he couldn’t put away an average opponent. I’d personally praise him for it and the results are obvious but it’s also OK to praise Joshua for trying to find the right one too.

I've thought for years that Fury's body type isn't built to last. I think he's been on the decline since Wilder 2 which took a critical percentage out of him. Physically those joints are not what they were, and I don't think the Ngannou fight was simple 'not training'. I think Fury is fragile around the whiskers now and his reflexes to avoid shots have slowed to a point that will be exposed tonight. I also think the limitations of Fury have been very effectively disguised by matchmaking, and he is perhaps flattered by the trilogy with Wilder (who until those fights was thought to be very limited at boxing but with an ATG right hand).

I'm picking Usyk by an unexpected TKO. I see Usyk throwing combinations and being more aggressive - in and out - than some are calling. This will make Fury look and feel ragged, and the impression will be of a lumbering chump getting tagged. Fury has no quit in him and will go looking for it mid-rounds sensing the 9-10 rounds are accumulating. He's used to winning rounds against virtually all previous opponents. This will be a reversal of the pattern of all fights in his entire career. Fury will go into 'spartan' mode, which will be his best shot but, I think, a big mistake. He'll get caught with solid shots. When he wobbles, Usyk is gonna swarm. I see couple of knockdowns with Fury stopped on his feet around championship rounds.

If I'm wrong I will just edit this post and deny all knowledge of it. :)

Fury... I've been there since day one, through thick and thin, even through the times when he's been a hard guy to support.

How does it go down? Usyk is coming in over-rated, Tyson under-rated. I can see Usyk being in a state by the later rounds through accumulation and although it's become a cliche getting dropped with a body shot.

    Why the body shot?
    1. Tyson loves a good body shot
    2. Tyson's cut meant no shots to the head during training, so what sparring has he been doing for the last 3 months?

Anyone put any bets on for tonight?

I've backed Kabayel to win by KO.
    Krusher to lose
Usyk to win by KO and also backed a draw

No one called him a bad fighter. It's true what you're saying, I guess Fury will be in the other 1% who hasn't got a loss on his record.

I wouldn't praise nor condemn Joshua for what he has done. He hasn't fought anyone with a pulse in a very long time. I wouldn't really praise Fury either, but he did a good thing moving away with Peter Fury who has been described as the Tony Pulis of boxing trainers.
