    Only 70 landed punches?

    That stat sounds wrong.

I wonder whether he was intending to weather the early rounds and try to turn it on the second half of the fight after Jai had spent a decent chunk of his gas tank.

And let's face it, Breidis chin is up to surviving like that.

Just didn't turn around as quickly as he'd have liked and couldn't finish the job... Younger Breidis would've won this at a canter.

Remember when Briedis went to heavyweight and flattened a few for fun?

Opetaia was just too accurate. Briedis took the shots better, but Briedis didn’t land clean enough. Briedis could probably beat up a lot of heavyweights, I don’t care to see a trilogy.

Both will live happily ever after. Briedis in retirement and Opetaia knowing he won't face another Briedis as he cleans out the division again and again.

Opetaia doesn't have the face to age gracefully, here's a sneak preview.:sisi1

116-112 Opetaia. Sucks Briedis didn't have any fights in those 22 months from the first fight. IMO if he was more active he could have beaten Jai tonight. But alas it is what it is.

I think he underestimated Breidis because of the inactivity, age and the fact that he already beat him. Figured he would have a much easier time this go around and it looked that way early but Breidis even now is a tough SOB and came back.
