Grant was better. He beat Savarese and Goofi didn’t.

Grant was dropped heavily by the 1st McCline punch whereas Whitaker went 12. Grant had glass chin which was exposed by many fighters, Golota was the first to drop him heavily in 1 round twice and nearly KOd him.

I’ve always suspected that fight to be a fix

I don't think so. Grant was caught early in many fights when he stepped up in competition, as his defensive skills were poor and chin was always suspect. McCline caught Grant with left hook with Grant twisting his leg at the time he was dropped and that's it.

McCline had all the power to drop and damage Grant with single punch as he later dropped boxers who had far better chins like Peter, Byrd or Briggs.

Remember, even pre-Lewis, Golota dropped Grant badly and nearly KO'd him.

It is funny how these guys were considered big back in the day but if they boxed today they would be middleweights. (Lol this is what these younger generation of casuals would tell you), Micahel Grantt was 6'7 250 pounds of muscle and Whitaker was in good shape and was 6'8 260.

    I would pick Michael Grant.

I think Lance Whitaker catches Grant early and Grant doesn't survive. Grant had a problem with getting caught early. He survived a number of times to come back but Goofy was physically imposing enough to probably prevent the come back and end him.
