Maybe, and no. It'd be a good fight, except it won't happen. As a long time fan of Usyk, I'd rather not see him stay in the game too much past prime. A Fury rematch is probably too much money to pass up, and a possible final fight with Joshua in early 25 may be in play, but otherwise I think it makes sense for him to call it a day. Kabayel is a great addition to the top tier of the post-Usyk / Fury era tho.
Honestly, you might be right. Kabayel goes to body to break fighters down. I can't remember the last time I saw a Heavyweight stop two dangerous contenders back to back with body work. First, an orthodox fighter, then a southpaw. IF Usyk has a weakness to the body (hurt to the body by Joshua, Dubois, and now Fury), I think Kabayel might surprise a lot of people. Unfortunately, I agree with @kostya by ko , I don't think there is a route to Usyk. Sadly, it seems the orgs are going to let the Saudis pick and choose opponents based on popularity. And as you can see by this board, boxing fans want to see the same old popular faces challenge for the belts.
That bodywork could work for him. I also would like to see him fight Joshua or Hrgovic. I think he would do well.
Nah, Kabayel proved he was a good fighter with his last 2 performances but ain't no way he can get close to beating Usyk, even at this late stage of Usyks career.
Kabeyal is the next generation. No need for him to take a loss against Usyk when the latter is on the way out anyway.
There's a BIG difference in how Kabayel was able to work against the slow and lumbering Makhmudov, and the so low output he almost wasn't throwing Sanchez, vs how Usyk would fight him Not to say Kabayel wasn't impressive, or that he wouldn't find some success against Usyk, but he would have to work much harder for it and wouldn't be on the front foot as much. Hard to say how Kabayel would cope with that level in front of him - even in decline

Yes he 100% have a chance, as Usyk is 38 almost. His workrate is halved already to what it was just 3 years ago. And Kabayel workrate is great, and there is a 7 years gap between them. To be fair i favor this guy to beat a lot of top guys. And i would be fair i didn't rate him quite highly few years ago, but he proves me wrong.
I mean, Kabayel is already 31, he is already in his prime. No need to wait. Plus, Usyk has just created a new lineage by becoming the first undisputed since Lennox. I don't want to see him retire without fighting any of the next group of fighters coming through. If Kabayel loses in his prime, well he gave it a shot and good experience. He gets to come again. If he wins, the lineage continues.
Well, I'm not sure it's a coronation. Just wanting to see him get a shot. He's been on the radar for a while now. He was European Champion 2017-2019. Which included beating a Chisora in 2017 without too much difficulty. A fight that fell between Whyte 1 and 2. Kabayel was 25 at the time. He demolished the top 10 WBC ranked Makhmudov. He has just done another clean job on the WBC#2 ranked Sanchez. Kabayel is now 31 years old. I think he has proven himself worthy of a shot at the WBC champion.
