like no other fighter has matched his workrate? how was Holyfield back in the day? smaller cruiser was his pace/rate similar to Usyk's? is this literally one of a kind?
No but it is very good. I think Tua-Ibeabucchi hold the record for most punches thrown. I seem to remember Vitali had it for a single fighter in the the Juan Carlos Gomez fight, but I could be way off on that. Holmes-Norton....the Thrilla in Manilla....Holyfield-Bowe...Marciano threw 94 punches in the 15th round against Charles. Usyk is excellent, and threw almost a 1000 punches against Gassiev. Not unprecedented by uber-elite.
thank you for your answer, but to be honest, I wasn't actually talking so much about punch rate but more movement which I do think are different things. Usyk is constantly moving in way i haven't really seen of any HW sorry should of phrased the question better
60's Ali moved around even more. But yes, i do agree. Other than young Ali and young Holmes (pre 82), Usyk moves around more than any heavy i have seen. In fact, i will say he moves around even more than Holmes does who did have a tendency to stand flat footed at times.
Currently ? No. As he is 38 years old almost. Against AJ 1 and 2 ? Hell, Yeah !!! In CW ? Hell, Yeah !!!
