AJ, Fury, Dubois and Chisora (non-contender in my humble opinion) are still great, the best in the long while accomplishments. Gathering all the belts in four belt era. Heads down for Usyk.

To be GOAT, or at least in top 10 of all time - he would need to clear division, that means every challenge should be answered. Usyk has 4 heavyweight names, ATG have 40+

In my opinion Usyk needs to defeat 4 more heavyweights to clear the division

    1. Filip Hrgović - my countrymen, but since I am biased, and seems nobody cares about him, I wont talk about him heavily - he is just 17:0, probably 18:0 after Dubois and has been denied world shot against Usyk 4 times - Usyk probably beats him, but it aint a good look not facing mandatory for 4 times
    2. Joseph Parker - in my eyes, has the best record in Heavyweight, after losing to Joshua, Parker reached bigger heights, record wise. Wilder and Zhang, MONSTERS, outboxed and outshined by Parker, has experience against everyone, tasted defeat, calm, smart, fast, redeemed
    3. Agit Kabayel - very smart fighter, sly as a fox, he wont allow Usyk to do his thing, great tehnical fighter but has no experience against southpaw
    4. Jared Anderson - nonononononoonno nonononononoononono nonoononononnono listen to me, I know, but he is in RIng Top 10, undefeated and in top 10 of every body, I dont even see this guy getting pass by Chisora, but Usyk needs to face him
Why not include Joshua? Why? Usyk demolished him and Joshua chose to spar instead to fight against decend opponets, with all the money and fame that he has, beating Wallin and Helenius means nothing.

What about Ruiz? Joshua should fight him.

What about Wilder and Zhang winner?

Zhang has been defeated 2 times by Hrgović and Parker and is 45 and Wilder win aint that much anymore
Wilder on the other hand needs to face Joshua and that is it.

    Lol!!! Wow…

Funny how you conveniently forgot to mention the fact Usyk accomplished EVERYTHING in the amateur ranks including winning Gold at the 2012 games. Also CLEARED the cruiserweight division winning the Super Series and becoming undisputed.

I don’t know… Those things might just be a few other reasons why he is the GOAT. Along with the fact he beat the best at HW while being heavily outweighed and giving up more than six inches in reach and four inches in height in his three biggest fights.

The faster you can accept that he’s the very best of his generation at both weights and very arguably the GOAT…. The faster you can just move on and put your mind at peace :)

Cruiserweight is not Heavyweight, he was not Heavyweight Olympic champion

He is ATG, but GOAT, he didnt clear the division, and it is questionable if Fury was the best, since he didnt beat the best

He is the best in generation, I am saying he isnt the GOAT

Agree that Usyk is a long way from GOAT at HW. He needs to beat more contenders to even solidify a top 10 status. Parker. Kabayel and Hrgovich are the most interesting challenges, but the winner of Zhang-Wilder will be a better challenger than Anderson until Anderson actually beats someone.

    He has beat five heavyweights.

Witherspoon, Chisora, Joshua, Dubois, and Fury. Maths not your strong point, I take it.

Hrgovic fans are a bitter bunch of individuals. I can understand the frustration with Hrgovic but why is it everybody else's fault, surely Hrgovic should take some blame, no?

I dont think beating Hrgovic, Parker etc adds much to Usyks legacy. Usyks beat the best in the division. None of the new generation look like killers. So not much Usyk can do.

Can't we just except that Usyk is an ATG and best of his era. Like all previous ATG' s, is that not enough.

It's kind of immaterial - Usyk doesn't have the time to do enough to have a really deep Heavyweight resume to be considered in ATG lists based on resume, but with his achievements and the eye test, he is still going to be in discussion in the Heavyweight ATG top 20 and P4P ATG lists - even if he retires tomorrow.

And the criticism he get's now - weak heavyweight era, Fury and Joshua are not all taht etc - well fighting on against other fighters n the current HW landscape is not going to change that outlook one iota.

As others have said, Usyk has 'completed' boxing, he has reached the summit, and the only wayw no is down...

I will be impressed with Usyk if he fights on and doesn't look further declined, but he won't prove much to me fighting Hrgovic, Wilder or Kabayel.

IMO Usyk should retire now, or honour the rematch, THEN retire, win lose or draw.

Would hate to see Usyk losing to someone he would have trifled with in his prime because he did a Roy Jones and didn't know when to hang 'em up

It's worth remembering that a lot of heavyweights in the past would have been considered cruiserweight today, and vice versa, with cruiserweights often coming in at 199lbs or 200lbs exactly. The likes of Rocky Marciano and Joe Louis weighing around 190 pounds for example. Even Ali, who was a similar size to Usyk, may have preferred to fight as a cruiserweight if he were around in todays era, since he began his boxing career at around 192lbs.

Exactly. But you see he is still prime being 38 years old, and him throwing less than double of his usual output is not a clear indicator of him being close to shot.
On the other hand Ali was shot to at 35 years old, Roy Jones Jr. shot at 35, and Mike Tyson lost his speed in his early 30. Go figure it out ....
Now Usyk giving 16cm. Height and 20cm reach, should fight till 50 or he is no good.

Not the GOAT but he is an undeniable great.

He's beaten the 2 biggest names in the division and when he wins the rematch would've done so twice each.

What more can he do? Should we bring back prime Lewis and Wlad and to see how he'd fare? I don't get it.
