He’s not the goat hw, hes the goat for all of his accomplishments combined. Put some respect on the goats name!
Wow, what is clear is you really like Tank given the strong emotional response. What I stated was mostly facts : >Barrios has beaten nobody - there's nothing remotely special about him. >Many had Tank losing, and Cruz looked quite small in comparison. >Garcia is outright trash >Santa Cruz looked two weight classes smaller than Tank. On Pedraza, actually you're right, he wasn't old and shot my bad. On the other points, however, which of these do you disagree with and why?
I don't assume the fighters from the past or present are better than each other. You have to judge things on an individual basis. But you don't give extra points from the start to fighters just because they're from a bygone era which is what we see a lot of people doing Size isn't everything but it does matter and it's a huge advantage for sure. These giants of today are athletic, fast for their size, coordinated and skilled and overcoming huge physical disadvantages is not easy to do and it's also comes with great risk Usyk has a achieved everything he has because he's an amazing fighter and he possesses everything required to be great in any era: He's super skilled, very high ring IQ, slick, athletic, accurate, fleet of hand and foot, very physically strong, has a granite chin, is versatile and can box on the front or back foot, can make adjustments, has an incredible engine and can maintain a high pace and throw loads of punches right up until the final bell, great defence and is very elusive and difficult to pin down, and he has an indomitable will to win and insane self-belief. And he can punch too. He might not be a massive puncher but his power is underrated and has hurt or badly hurt everyone he's fought at HW despite them being way bigger and heavier than him and both Belly and AJ were fortunate not to get stopped. He has it all and he possesses everything to greatly trouble anyone from any era. And people have to understand he is not in his prime and he hasn't been for years. Yeah it's ridiculous and it's not just on forums people are pushing this conspiracy theory either. It's on social media too You're a good dude so you're in no danger of finding out
If they were the same size, they would be different fighters w/ a style not like what they did in their respective weights. Their size is what allowed them certain attributes. And BTW…Tank??
He's not doing anything of importance really. And for a multi-division champ, at age 29, is wasting prime years. If he’s “That Dude”, he needs to show it now. Not asking for catchweight fights w/ Inouye, or fights w/ stiff rehydration clauses, or other catchweight fights. I think he’s hella talented, but he’s dicking around too much IMO.
He could retire tomorrow and I'd say he's top 5. I didn't think he'd beat Joshua or Fury, but after seeing how well he adapted during the fight to beat both, I'm not sure if there's ever been a heavyweight with as much ring IQ. You can say Ali, but Ali got hit....A LOT. Usyk gets caught every now and then but never stays in trouble long and always comes back strong the next round. He might not have enough power to be the GOAT, but he's in the conversation with a short list of peers.
He never tried to fight Inoue. It’s the idiot LDBC fans demanding it. Tank has showed tremendous respect for Inoue and said he’s too big. Tank has a fantastic resume that’s aging well tbh.
Good to hear, because that fight has no business happening. I still think his resume is weak. Especially considering he had: Teo, Haney, and Loma there.
One thing I will say is that I am all for the rematch because Usyk can make more millions then he should retire. He will be 38 and Father Time is undefeated for a reason. If he stays longer then someone will get to him.
Not a bad list but would change the order slightly Still have Lewis ahead of Usyk. Weight hopping isn't the be all and end all Wouldn't fight over it though Edit Would have Holyfield ahead His resume at Hw is way steeper
