Had Fury been saved by the bell instead of the ref right after he hit the ropes, would everyone argue that the ref should have called it a knock down because the ropes kept him up?
He was laying on the ropes and you can’t risk it having one guy teeing off on a guy laying on the ropes. The ref did his job.
