Who do you favor to win between The Camden Buzzsaw against Double M at Light Heavyweight? Does Qawi's overwhelm Moorer with his aggressive style or is Moorer's power dangerous enough to possibly score a KO?

I'll definitely take Qawi in this one. He was very durable and more proven against better competition at 175. A somewhat passive Frankie Swindell had Moorer on rubber legs in their first fight. Certainly Qawi could hurt him, and would be in his face however long that fight lasts. I say Qawi by TKO between 6-8.

Moorer's best win at 175 was....Leslie Stewart maybe? I believe Stewart was ahead before his shaky chin failed him. Qawi all day here.

This is one of the worst possible matchups for Moorer at light heavy. A guy who has the chin and defense to survive Moorer's power, and a work rate and toughness that would not allow Moorer to take his well documented mental breaks. Qawi would be all over him and win a clear decision or late stoppage. And, Qawi wouldn't have even thought twice about taking this fight. Qawi showed no fear in the ring. I doubt the same could be said for Moorer. Moorer was smart enough to know that Qawi would be an extremely risky fight.

Also have to go with Dwight here.

I’m not sure I’ve seen a boxer who seemed to take such sadistic pleasure in taking a guy apart as Qawi — like a cat toying with a mouse when he got the upper hand.

Moorer would be dangerous early — he always was at light heavy or heavyweight — and that’s the danger zone for DMQ. Once they got past, say, six, MM begins huffing and puffing and then the torturer in Qawi would come out.

He’d get tired of his mouse by the ninth or 10th and end it.

Qawi but he'd have to be careful along the way. Moorer had big power at 175.

Qawi by 9th round TKO. He would bully Moorer throughout their fight registering a TKO when Michael was spent.

We don't know how strong Moorer was a 175 but we do know he was better a heavyweight. Logic would state he had more power at light heavyweight. Moorer just didn't stay at light heavyweight long.

I would still pick Moorer since he was the natural bigger man.

I would go with Qawi. Qawi was better at light heavy imo.

The problem that Qawi would have would be with how much bigger Moorer would be. The reason that Moorer was such a big, strong, hard hitting light heavy is that, as champion, he fought at over 200 pounds. Somebody that I know fought him, and was stopped, and he told me that Moorer at the weigh in and in the ring were very different people.

Qawi was just too rough for Michael. Michael had great power and if he landed on Qawi who was right in front of him it would be interesting..

Good fight - Moorer not proven enough to be favoured but he’d have a chance IMO.

I got to watch many of Moorers early bouts at Cobo Arena. Our coach would always take us down there.

I remember they were Kronk Fight Nights, none Detroit bodies always crashing deep in to the canvas.

Moorer was one bad ass as a Light Heavy.

But there was too much money waiting for him as a Heavyweight.

Moorer could have been one of the greats at Light Heavy, at least he made that money though.

Abd I'd take Moorer over Qawi by KO,

Moorer was a huge Light Heavyweight hence why he was able to move up to Heavyweight so easily.
Moorer is a big puncher at the weight but his opposition was very poor, and he didn't look that impressive vs Leslie Stewart who is the best opponent he fought at Light Heavyweight.

Overall I'll go with Qawi he impressed me alot more at the weight and fought far better opposition, Spinks was a big puncher at Light Heavyweight also but he still had to box a near perfect tactical fight to beat Qawi over 15 rounds. Moorer never showed me he was capable of that type of performance so I'm picking Qawi.

Moorer's size and power make him a threat but Qawi should be the favourite here.
