Savage Army vs Bosh Army This is what Matchroom cards have come to! A fight that might have been half relevant as a mid-carder at Fight Camp.
It is disappointing that Matchroom does not organize anything other than these Next Gen shows in the U.K. These are cheap events without depth and quality on the cards.
Yes, the fact that such a fight can be the main event at a Matchroom show says it all. The worst thing is that I actually think Eddie Hearn can build the fight up to a level where it doesn't belong at all.
Announced that the 5 v 5 a week Saturday is PPV on DAZN. A flexible pass costs £25 and you get one UK show this month. With the 2 extra PPV’s it’s 75 quid to watch 3 boxing cards at UK time in one month on DAZN.
I've made some poor decisions in my time regarding monthly streaming subscriptions (Disney plus, just for the beatles doc a couple of years back) but Dazn absolutely take the ****.
DAZN UK firmly established as the worst value subscription ever seen in the UK. It feels great to be de-mugged when you cancel.
Surprised Matchroom have gone this early with giving Fisher someone with a pulse. Imagine it’s because they know Babic is shot to bits. But he’s a big puncher so still has the potential to knock Fisher out. I’m actually looking forward to it though, will definitely be watching. First time for Fisher for someone who’s going to hit back, let’s see if he’s made of the real stuff and can cope. That full time training for the last 3 years with one of the best trainers/set-up’s in the country is bound to help and push him to a certain level but I’m not sure it that level is Alen Babic? Would like the winner to fight winner of Dacres /Adeleye or Itauma (but we all know it will be Dave Allen).
"Unbeaten Fisher steps up to fight a recent world title challenger" - straight from the Benn playbook.
DAZN is so confusing. I'd like to see the Taylor fight (legally) and might just pay PPV for it but... you go to the DAZN site, it says "don't miss Taylor vs Catterall" with the big sign-up button... if you tap that, it takes you through to a page with the 5v5 card. From what I gather here, it's not PPV so the choice is to get a DAZN sub again and dice with danger on cancelling it? And choose whether to basically get the 5v5 for free along the way?
I have this issue with DAZN. I actually dislike watching stuff through non official sources but the cowboy nature of DAZN with the inability to cancel easily etc means I feel forced to watch their cards illegally even if I did want to pay for it. It's one of the most tinpot companies I've dealt with
