Yeah pretty sure Spinks couldn`t take those uppercuts that Usyk did, nor the shots to the body, Spinks didn`t have the head movement Usyk utilized to get inside Fury`s jab and counter.

Nobody had a better jab than Homes and he had an 81 inch reach too.

Hard to say. I don't believe Holmes is as well-rounded as Usyk is however he does have the size and power advantage. He may even be tougher than Usyk is. Don't know how Oleksandr would have dealt with a knockdown blow by Earnie Shavers. Still, he has more to work with.

Holmes has the better jab but Usyk is better on his feet and gets angles against fighters who use outside boxing. A bad style for Usyk would be against pressure fighting. That would shut down his momentum. Against pure boxers he can slip the long jab and make his way inside, land a combination then step out again. Holmes will try to adjust but we're talking about Usyk. He's more cerebral in my opinion.

    Usyk wins a 9-6 round decision in a 15-round fight. 7-5 if it's a 12-rounder.

Spinks had an awkward style and he hit much harder then Fury does.
Holmes was also towards the end of his career when those losses took place.

Spinks did not hit harder than Fury, the punch that sparked Whyte would have sparked Spinks.

Holmes had a very short amateur career, and had a lot of padding in the earlier half of his resume.

He still fought over double the amount of professional fights as Usyk, and as I said had a hard schedule fighting 20 championship fights in 7 years against 15 ranked opponents.

For comparison Usyk has only fought 22 professional fights in 11 years and not all of them were championship fights either.

Holmes was going 12 rounds and 15 rounds consistently you can't compare how certain fights age and think it's as simple as they're all the same just based on the number.

Let me put it this way: In a contest between an african american elite heavyweight and an east european elite heavyweight the eastern boxer always wins. RIP, african american heavyweights, I'll miss ya'all.

Usyk. Holmes was great in his time, but Usyk is on another level.

i favor, larry. his jab and his legs will keep him ahead on points. usyk would take too much punishment getting past the jab, as larry was a master of using his right hand in conjunction with his jab. not like a 1-2, but more like a 1---2. larry was also a legit elite. in his prime you could fight to his level, but you arent fighting above it.

Holmes would have toyed with all of Usyk`s former opponents aside from Fury.

Yeah not in the mood of the fantasy matchups.
Holmes was going to be either a very small HW in todays standards or end up at CW. He was what 210 pounds in his best days, some lower, some higher?
And to be fair i'm not a fan of this fantasy matchup. My experience tells me that athletes just gets better, especially compare to that time.
Now there is always a golden era, that can't be match, or very hard to, but in terms of Boxing i don't think that's the case.
For me it's more like of a styles and the package. But it's always a wild guess, you know? Sometimes, something in X fighter is just all wrong for the Y, and he just can't do nothing about it, even if on paper his style is perfect for him.

Holmes couldn't even toy with rookie Witherspoon, nor did he fight many other challengers.

None of the heavyweights Usyk have fought are more powerful than Holmes except AJ but he didn`t have Lrry jab, Holmes`s reach was longer than Usyk`s and only one inch shorte than AJ`s.
