We are talking prime for prime. Take whatever prime version of the 2 and compare them to the prime version of the other one.

    Their stats:
    Luke Fury - 206cm height, 216cm. reach, 260+lbs
    Mike Tyson - 178cm height, 180cm reach, 216+lbs

    How you see it ?

Prime Fury is probably 2020 Fury.

Difficult to say as Wilder was arguably Fury's best opponent, depending on how you think Wlad would have done in the rematch.

    I'm going with Mike.

Mike Tyson by KO. I think Fury outboxes him most rounds but eventually prime Tyson is working his way inside and detonating on his chin.

The only guys who beat prime Tyson are boxers with lethal jabs like Lennox Lewis. A little point scoring/range finding jab isn't going to cut it.

Hard to look past a prime Mike win against anybody tbh,Fury said it himself Mike by stoppage win. The same goes for Usyk as well,Mike by stoppage win .

This ain't about Usyk, and let's just keep it straight and clean Fury - Tyson.

I'm curious though how people think that Mike Tyson would deal with Fury clinching ? As there is a huge, huge difference in size, reach and weight.
Mike Tyson doesn't have a great cardio as well, and is very susceptible to being clinched, as he doesn't have that "pendulum" type of style in and out. His footwork going forward is decent, but backwards is just not there.

Though Lennox Lewis has said that he believes he was a lot stronger than Tyson Fury is, so that maybe a key factor as well.
But Fury could just extend his hand, and Tyson won't reach him at all.

Don't forget there is a big difference between Mike Tyson size and Usyk.
Usyk is 13cm. taller, and has 18cm. reach advantage over Mike.

And Fury would have 28cm. height advantage, and 36cm. reach advantage and 40-50+ lbs on Mike Tyson.

While i'm not a Fury fan i don't see how Mike Tyson would win that fight.
Larry Holmes which was a shadow of himself when fought Mike, had success with the clinches in the early rounds and was tiring Mike Tyson, before he get caught bad.
And imagine what million times heavier, taller and way more reach and in his prime Tyson Fury would do to Mike.

I think this is nostalgia that talks in most people.

I think Tyson Fury will win this fight, as the size gap is just huge.

It’s a bit of a mix when comparing fighters from different eras nostalgia/picking ones favourite of the fighters/rating past fighters higher than what they are/rating different eras over others. It’s like all the mythical match up and H2H threads on here tbh,it’s just a pick a person makes as there choice with nothing at all concrete behind it as it’s a situation that we would never truly know how it would have played out .

For me Tyson is leagues above Fury in skill and has a considerably better resume. But when I see them together recently Tyson looked like a kid standing next to Tyson Fury.

But saying all that Tyson did beat taller guys he beat Ribalta who was 6'6 he beat Tucker who was 6'5.

Usyk is also a similar weight to Tyson and he hurt Fury considerably, Usyk doesn't hit anywhere near as hard as Tyson. I think Tyson could find gaps in Fury's defense and also target that fat mid section remember Tyson was a very good body puncher.

All in all I'll go with Tyson but Fury would be a tough match up for him, and if Fury starts clinching Tyson on inside and wearing him down then I could see Fury possibly pulling it off.
