You mad because I said the truth, that Liston lost against two at best, medicore 175 pounders and LhWs.

Look what Walcott did to Rocky for 12.5 rounds. I guess a great jab with a monumental reach advantage and massive right behind it and the ability to fight with a broken jaw means **** all here because it Rocky Marciano.

As HOF boxing writer and Pulitzer Prize sportswriter...the great Red Smith said about Marciano...now take this in kids..."He couldn't box like Gene Tunney...he couldn't throw combinations like Joe Louis...but in one respect...he had no challenger...Rocky was the "toughest...strongest and most completely dedicated fighter who ever wore gloves!" "Fear" wasn't in his vocabulary...and "Pain" had no meaning!" Yeah...I can see a guy like Liston QUITTING on his stool like he did in 1965...or take a DIVE in the first round in 1965...beating an all time great warrior...You look at what Marciano did after the pounding he took in the title fight against JJW in 1952...the "BANG"...wins the title in the 13th. Or the second Charles fight in September 1954 when Ezzard split his nose open down the cartilage in the 6th round. They had trouble stopping the blood...so Marciano stormed out...KO'd Charles and kept the crown. In his 2 "fights" with Ali...Sonny QUIT for a whole lot less. Take a guy with a "kill or be killed" attitude like Marciano every time!

One fight in his career he came out nervous and paid for it early. He was also blinded for a good part of the fight (if I recall ointment to stop a cut on his head leaked to his eyes). Made for a great fight. Walcotts reach didn’t help in the second fight. Neither did any of Marciano’s opponents because he literally had a shorter reach in every single fight he had. The man still retired undefeated.

Rocky is too brave for his own good here and gets battered.

I pointed out Marciano did not knock unconscious those below, and he didn't

Lastarza tko on his feet, not counted out.
Cockell tko on his feet ,not counted out.
Charles trying to rise when counted out
Moore sitting in a corner exhausted unable to rise ,counted out fully conscious but not knocked unconscious.
    Louis was not counted out.

Aside from not being in the top 10, Sonny didn't yet have the connections in 1956. He wasn't a name; the general public knew nothing about him. And it was three years before Sonny ko'd Williams, when he himself said he became confident he could beat the best.

I'm glad to see you did not blame Walcott's corner for Marciano's eye difficulties ,he was blinded by his own corner and Freddie Brown saved the day washing his eyes out with water. Marciano had butted Walcott in the 6th round, not intentionally, but came off the worse of the two.Walcott got a cut over his eye,Marciano in his receding hairline.
Walcott laid down in the 2nd fight, he could have gotten up but elected to stay down,he arose quite calmly without any fuss, and only began pantomiming outrage when the crowd began to boo.

Louis was knocked through the ropes and he was out. He was pulled up by people afraid he would fall off the ring.
    Charles was counted out
Moore was counted out conscious or not he could not rise he was counted out
Cockell was in another galaxy lol he had no idea where he was
Not sure how any of this diminishes Marciano’s power. Plenty of experienced fighters have praised his power.

yeah was Marciano’s corners fault for his blindness. Not sure how many rounds it was I forget. Walcott did a great job blitzing him. Think that threw Marciano off more than anything as that’s not a typical Walcott tactic. One of my favorite fights

I'm not diminishing his power just stating facts.Marciano did not knock unconscious any of his challengers.

And Rocky Marciano lost to Roland LaStarza a 180 pound fighter and Ted Lowry a 170 pound fighter (almost getting stopped by him) but got gift wins because of his mafia connections. I guess you wil only pick the "truth" when it fits your agenda.

Also the 2 "175" guys who beat Liston didn't beat him by standing right in front of him. They beat him by moving.

Lol so if you retire undefeated because you fought old men, mob controlled fighters, and tomato cans it means you are a ATG? Also Marciano did lose, he lost to Charles their first fight, Roland LaStarza their first fight and against Ted Lowry their first fight and got gift wins because of his mafia connections.

Also you do realize there is this thing called weight classes? It is like saying Floyd Mayweather retired "undefeated" and Roy Jones Jr didn't. It means Flod could beat Roy Jones Jr.

Marciano was a 180 pound fighter. Liston would of beat him like he beat Floyd Patterson.
