Usyk has the power to hurt Fury very bad. Whereas Fury cannot dent Usyk's chin. This is a guy who has never been down as a professional, he is a piece of iron. I remember when AJ landed a stiff flush right directly on Usyk's chin and Usyk backed up momentarily, ate it and then digested it. Like a piece of Barbecue Chicken. Mind you, this was AJ, a guy who punches harder than Tyson does. Fury can't hurt him and they both know it.
Fury couldn't hurt Ngannou with elbows, and AJ put him down every time he landed. AJ lands those same hands on Usyk, and he feels it like you said, but doesn't slow down at all. There are levels, Usyk genuinely just has a steel chin
Don't think I've ever seen Usyk that bruised up before. Solid whiskers, possibly the best in the division, but he was definitely hurt by those uppercuts. Then again I'd rather take a right hand than an uppercut. Nasty shots to take.
AJ not just punch harder than Tyson, he punch like 100x time harder than Tyson Fury. Look at that Ngannou fight, and it's all clear. But we already knew that. The narrative was that Usyk is weak to the bod, which we should give extra credit and ask how freakish hard the guy from your avatar actually hit?
He definitely has a very good chin and he has proven that by taking many right hands by Joshua in their two fight series. I wish Usyk would be like 30-31 years old right now. He would’ve probably retired with 10 title defences 5 years from now. Unfortunately he is 37 already, and it is only a matter of time until his age catches up to him. Ofcourse he is still looking very good right now for a 37 year old.
Usyk gets hurt but he handles it very well. He was always big cruiserweight and he did take a fair few shots even at this weight. He can take a shot. Took a big overhand right off Dereck. Difference with Usyk which is why he's cut from a different cloth is he can comeback from damage as can Fury. Many fighters would be finished. I thought Usyk would regress and Fury would take control after them mid rounds but no the opposite happened, Fury got tired and Usyk took control. Fury was finished in that 9th round worse than he's ever been yet I knew he would be fine after 30 seconds in the corner.
Usyk has a great chin but he can be hurt. Fury hurt him in round 6 with two uppercuts but he recovered well.
He definitely has a very good chin and it helps that he also has great defence too so he doesn't have to take big shots in succession so it's hard to break him down as you land those big punches so infrequently.
The punches AJ landed on Ngannou aren't quite the same Usyk got. He'd been knocked out by those. But Usyk does have a solid beard.
Just as a pro and in the WSB Absolutely crazy to have fought all these and never been dropped by a head shot or even badly hurt by one.
