I think even Swag is starting to soften.

    I wouldn't say that to Razor's face.

I’ve mellowed out in my old age.

Bowe and Foreman. Shannon Briggs later. I'm not saying Tyson is at fault for not fighting Bowe or Foreman the point is there really weren't a lot of sluggers populating the top ranks of HW at the time and it made what Tyson did a lot easier. Ruddock and Bruno were the exception and Ruddock gave him some trouble.

Mike is an incredible Master, but Liston would bully the hell out of him.

Sonny had greater adaptative abilities than Mike.

I think we'd see Sonny take some vicious shots early on, then start jabbing the hell out of Mike, ultimately stalling the shorter opponent's rushes and halving his effectiveness. Mike starts staggering around the 6th, knocked down bad and stopped in 7.

I've seen this thread many times. Even though Sonny is one of my favorites, I think Liston h2h can be overrated.

Liston never had a win over a complete package of combinations, speed, and precision like Mike, mainly because there wasn't any during his era. I'd pick Tyson by finish.

    Don’t apologise brother.

There are a LOT of common thread themes, replicated over and over.

I say “So what?” It’s the nature of the beast.

Also, we have new members, new opinions, fresh discussion for them, fresh perspectives to be offered - all to be getting on with.

If a thread displeases someone or holds no interest for them - how hard is it to simply ignore that thread and not post to it?

There’s been no quarrelling or bickering, why would anyone try to even preempt that?

That preemption, in itself, is a potentially self fulfilling clanger and repeated far too often.

Btw, Liston KO 1. Yes, I’m joking. Well, sorta.:D

Liston brings nothing to the table that Tyson has not seen, Jab, check, right hand check, slow ,check...Liston is not even a big guy here....but Liston has never ever encountered what Tyson brings, he was completely befuddled by a green Ali's speed and rather quit before getting stopped.

Tyson would murder Machen , Patterson Williams.................Williams/Patterson has KO1 written all over it.

Tyson vs Liston will be a replay of the Pinklin Thomas fight , Guaranteed.
